We had no longer thought that the Maharaja was closed on Mondays; also near a pizzeria the doors were dense and so we landed by chance in the Homburger Hof . From the ambience a kind of brewhouse, the menu with defensive dishes, Saarland specialities and various flame-cake variations. My wife and I stopped by the Homburg Hof after a morning of shopping at the flea market. It was the perfect choice. We were both torn on what to order for lunch so we started with a flight of their biers. I have been...enjoying their weizen for a long time, but had not tried the other Karlsburg biers. It was a treat to sit outside on a nice summer day comparing the fours biers in the flight, and each flight cost less than 4€. The patio was very nice, and I took a peek inside which was also nice. When our server returned my wife ordered the burger, and I ordered the special schnitzel with sauce and cheese. the waiter was extremely rude and rude. before he paid, he told us something that is not nice about the Italian behavior in the German language, if he spoke clearly in English for the whole evening meal. he tells us that the tipp is not forbidden. as the service deserves. a tip I left, but was not the case. it is a pity, because the others waiter are good and beautiful, and also eating is excellent. it's the last time for me.

We love the Hamburger Hof and try to eat there every time we are in Homburg. They have a large selection of traditional German cuisine, super yummy kellerbier and the waitstaff are very friendly!! Try the Hoorishe with salmon or the Schlossberg-Pfännchen!

large beer, very good eating served in a great ambiente. schnitzel is very good and you can get a tasting bottle of beer that have four of their locally brewed beer. in any case it is worth checking whether they are in homburg.

Good spot to go for beer and basic German food pub fare- of course you must drink the locally brewed Karlsberg beer- staff is fairly accommodating and the menu is in English too
