I am extremely disappointed. I've been a loyal customer for about nine years, but the quality has really declined. The prices are outrageous, and the food isn't worth it anymore. Last night, I paid $20 for just a sandwich and fries. The meat was obviously low quality, and the hot sandwich was served so cold that the cheese didn't even melt. On top of that, there were no napkins, no ketchup—nothing—in the bag, just the sandwich and fries. The Manhattan with Dijon sauce used to be my favorite sandwich, and it’s heartbreaking that I can’t enjoy it the way I used to. It was my comfort food.
I’ve always had a fantastic meal at this place. Every dish, from the sides to the sandwiches, is consistently high quality, and the portion sizes are generous. I highly recommend the mac and cheese bites; they are incredible, especially with the dipping sauce. I can’t get enough of the Nor’easter sandwich, which is loaded with chicken cutlets, mozzarella, bacon, and BBQ sauce. It has more chicken and bacon than two sandwiches from any other deli! This is definitely one of my favorite delis on Long Island.
walked in and ordered the Brando and the mac attack the pictures looked amazing...... Don't be fooled by the delicious-looking photos.......... finished sandwiches didn't look as good as advertised and weren't amazing wasn't disgusting but were not tasty or good and very bland both heroes.... two heroes were over 30 dollars way too pricey for something I could have made better myself.... Please Stay Away You have been warned.
Amazing heroes! I was so blown away how good they are, I’m glad I found a good hero place here in the islip area where I’m close by to, most good hero spots I have to travel throughout Suffolk county, i highly recommend hometown heroes most especially the Mac Attack or Good Sam hero’s!! Will be back again!

Ordered on your online app from Hometown heroes never received the order and when called in we referred to Kol Chow, *Now had no idea where our order was now I’m stuck with no food and no refund at this time. I would recommend never ordering from this establishment.
I recently ordered a 3 foot hero (American and Chicken/Bacon) and it was fantastic! I've ordered hero for years from other stores and there is no comparison. I would HIGHLY recommend ordering from Hometown Heroes as you will not be disappointed.
Love these heroes. Saw one of their promoted items, the Mac Attack, and I decided to order it on a whim. Looked great, tasted even better. Tried their other sandwiches too, which are also fantastic. Huge portions and tastes great. I come here
The place has gone significantly down hill. I miss the old hometown heroes, recently the staff has been terrible. The food is still pretty good. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here again.

That sandwich was incredible (Papa Giorgio with bacon)! I've been in West Islip for seven years, and I can't believe I never tried this place before. Wow, it was so good!
great heroes good portion sizes. we go all the time and definitely will be back. favorite thing is the loaded waffle fries
