This is the best takeout food I've had in a long time! Everything is flavorful, crunchy, spicy, and delicious. The fish fillet sandwich was loaded with fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and onions, while my fiancé's chicken wings were perfectly crispy and meaty. The fries were seasoned with a delicious peppery flavor and were nice and thick. They also offer a wide variety of bottled juices.
It had been nearly four years since my last visit, but I have to say that my pregnant cravings were fully satisfied with the wings and shrimp. My boyfriend ordered the tenders, and I couldn't help but laugh at his choice, but then I tried some and they were surprisingly amazing! Just like I remembered, Hook Fish Chicken is the go-to spot for delicious chicken and shrimp!
I ordered from Hook Fish Chicken through DoorDash and was extremely disappointed. The food arrived soggy, my order was wrong, and one of the containers had a big hole in it. I spent $70 for my family and me, and the quality of the food was the worst I've ever encountered. Each time I order from them, it seems to get worse. This will definitely be my last order.
The prices at this restaurant are 20-30% higher compared to other similar establishments in the state. For instance, while 100 wings typically cost around $259.99 at other places, here they are priced at $337.99. It's quite frustrating. I ordered nachos, but they only had cheese on them. There was no sour cream, lettuce, or tomatoes included. I was also charged for sauces, but they weren’t included in the bag. I’m really disappointed with my experience.
The seafood at this restaurant is delicious. I had the Tilapia and Shrimp with French fries, accompanied by a choice of soda for around $17 including tax.
The staff is fantastic and always friendly, and they serve the best chicken Philly. The hush puppies are pretty good too; try them with the mild sauce!
