After getting a text message stating my group and I table was ready, we get there and the host and people don?t know what?s going on. 15 more minutes waiting and the host was kindly enough to sit us anywhere. I believe they were short staff so not only did she sit us she took our order. We ordered drinks and oysters for appetizers and our seafood boils. It was a table of 4. Table was small. Our food came out before our appetizer but once our oysters came out we had to stack cold trays on our hot food because we didn?t have a room on the table. After about 10 minutes, one of the employees went to check on the status of my order. When she returned, she told me they were still working on it. At that point, I started to wonder if something was amiss, as several customers, including DoorDash drivers, were coming in, picking up their food, and leaving.
I double-checked to ensure they had my name and order number correct. The employee confirmed and pointed to the ticket bearing my name. Throughout the wait, I made sure the staff could see that I had been waiting for a while. At 2:55 PM, my order still wasn’t ready.

I ordered the catfish platter along with hush puppies. The portion was quite large, and everything was served hot and fresh. However, I wish they had honey butter to go with the hush puppies. My boys ordered a boiling seafood dish with shrimp, crab legs, corn, and added sausage, which they didn’t enjoy.
I found the corn and crab legs to be soft and mushy—something I didn't expect when I tasted their food. Interestingly, they didn't complain about it, and it was gone before I knew it. My boys seemed satisfied and filled up.

This was a two-part order, so I’m not sure which one I’m rating. Overall, the food was really good, but please consider adding condiments and ketchup, as they really complete the meal and enhance the flavor. It may seem minor, but it makes a big difference. Since this was a group order, I felt a bit frustrated because the staff repeatedly asked me to confirm special instructions before placing the order, which I clearly emphasized. We visited Hook Reel Cajun Seafood for dinner on a Friday night around 7:45 pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and we were seated in a back corner right away. However, after waiting 15-20 minutes, multiple servers walked past our table without acknowledging us. As a minority couple, we felt uncomfortable and overlooked, especially since the restaurant was mostly empty. Due to this experience, we decided to leave and will not be returning. We have visited other locations of this chain before and never encountered this issue.
We had the most amazing experience with Isis. She gave us suggestions and we are sitting here stuffed. We are trying to figure out how to make more room. My friend had the flounder basket. She said it was flavorful and light, even though it was fried. I had the shrimp and the New Zealand ?? mussels. It is super yummy and I?m trying to find room in my tummy ?. The food is delicious but the customer service deserves 10 stars ??. Thank you for a great experience with my friends ??.
I've been here twice...both decent experiences. The last time the food was good and our waitress was great. At the end of the meal we heard a woman loudly complaining about one of the gentlemen clearing the table. She became increasingly louder as shekept talking. Come to find out she worked here and was referring to her own co worker! At no time did a manager come over toaddress the incident. Uncomfortable end to an other wise good meal.
I spent $60 on this disappointing meal. My daughter picked it up on August 8, 2022. If I had gone to get it myself, I would have noticed the small portions and chosen to leave. The food was bland, and I specifically asked for something with a strong flavor. It deserves no stars; it was a waste of money.

The food was amazing, the waiters were super and beautiful and it was not packed. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. My friend ordered lobsters and it was gummy and tasted funny. He got sick, but the prices were very high. Overall amazing food and service next to the lobster!
The portion was small. I recommend trying the specialty blend, as the spicy Cajun lacked flavor.
