Hooked is a sum of its exceptional parts. Rarely does a restaurant achieve excellence on such a flawless level as this gem of an establishment. The superior food alone is worth frequent trips in my book, having yet to be disappointed with anything off themenu. It's such a treat to look back at the emaculent open kitchen and watch the chefs prepare delicious plates, all whileseemingly to never miss a beat. Even more, It's the friendly staff and the vibe the restaurant portrays that makes theexperience complete. We tried this place for the first time tonight and we're very glad we did. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent! We ordered two different tacos, the lobster salad tacos and the seared tuna tacos and both were very good. The ahituna tacos were our favorite. We also got a tuna tower and this was very, very, good. We order tuna tartare often and this onewasn't really traditional, but it certainly was delicious! The flavors were similar to a tuna poke bowl. We definitely plan oncoming back!
Before heading back to Jersey I wanted to give this spot a try. I called in my order of the grouper tacos and keylime pie for dessert. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted. My food wasn't quite ready so I paid and waited.When it came out I grabbed the food and left. I ate when I got in and the tacos were huge and very good. The keylime pie wasjust ok though. It didn't taste too much like keylime pie to me. All in all I had a pretty decent experience.
We did takeout from Hooked over Thanksgiving 2022. I was blown away with the food. The ceviche in particular was outstanding. I've had it from dozens of places over the years and never had this specific flavor profile. Very memorable. The crab cakes andpoke were also great. The ambience was nice as I waited to get my order. The parking is awful but that's a challenge for thatplaza. We'll definitely stop in again.

Wow! The customer service here was outstanding, and the food tasted incredible. A friend suggested this spot to me, and as a seafood enthusiast, I’m thrilled I tried it. I definitely recommend it! The blend of warm service and excellent cuisine is unbeatable.
Hooked On State Street offers a wonderful atmosphere rich with a unique Jamaican flair. The food is outstanding, particularly the tuna tacos and tuna salad, which come highly recommended. Be sure to save room for the key lime pie—it’s a must-try!
The atmosphere and service were outstanding. The food was exceptional, featuring large salads and appetizers. I particularly enjoyed the blackened tuna on cucumbers, the avocado salad, the blackened salmon Caesar salad, and the ceviche appetizer.
Awesome salmon tacos (would have added avocado though)and the steak and shrimp tacos were good too. Tacos have a lot of food in them, was so stuffed after two. Ceviche was good with the plantains. Key lime pie was amazing .

The food was exceptional, with careful attention to every detail. This place is a must for seafood lovers. We both enjoyed the Hoke bowls with blackened tuna, and they were amazing—particularly the wasabi cream sauce!
Always outstanding... the food is exceptional... and the servers are the most professional you could hope for. This is our favorite spot. We bring all our friends and family, and everyone loves it!
