We noticed later that the birthday cake my dad had special ordered for the night was given to another table who was also celebrating a birthday. This is a restaurant that I visited a number of times when I visit relatives in Canterbury, Sydney. It always looked as if needs some proper renovation, But the food was always very, very good. Nighttime parking is easy across the road at the station carpark. Very difficult during the day, except there is a small Woolworth shopping centre with 3 hour free parking one block away. Beneath the dated interior, amateurish (but well mannered and attentive) service is a homely Chinese restaurant that has consistently provided Cantonese cuisine that is superior to most, if not all, of the top listed Chinese restaurants in Sydney. Yes, the presentation is questionable, I mean the tableware is plastic and the dessert jelly is obviously molded using a takeaway container, but the food is authentic and most importantly, delicious.

Went there on sat night. We had a booking at 6.30pm. Table for 9. It was packed to the brim. Always make a booking so you are not dissapointed. We had 9 dishes. Compose of all proteins availabe and few fav. Was really good and fast. It worked out about $20 per person including a nice tip. It the place to take someone who hanging for good and dishes most chinese restuarant don't do anymore. Will be back again

Two good reasons for going back there again are the good variety of Cantonese food and reasonable price of the seafood. The seafood was however a bit too oily but the chicken was quite good. We had a group of 12 people and it wasn't good they didn't have a big table, and we were offered two round tables joined together. Thus this place is not recommended for a party of over 8 people.

The choice of food is extensive. There are some dishes that are only known to Chinese people which is the majority of the patronage. They also have the standard western dishes. Lots of fresh seafood such as trout and seafood platters. Always had a good meal there.
Our friends treated us for dinner and told us their food was quite good. They ordered an eel which was pretty tasty and more than enough for 7 people. All the dishes were also in reasonable portion.
