Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to honor the memory of our dear friend, Johnson City Hooters. I have not been to Hooters in a long time, since my last visit they have remodeled and gone to a closed kitchen. For many years myself and my friend group came here every single week during their wing night, we enjoyed delicious wings at affordable prices, good company and a fun atmosphere. Alas, college graduations come and wing/beer friend groups go. Passing through today I decided to visit the old favorite and see how things were going. First of all, the remodel is fine but in my opinion it has killed the vibe a bit, the open kitchen and long bar were always fun to watch while waiting...

visited this location after a long drive to get some food and time out of the car. The waitress was quick to seat us and get our drink orders. the menu has absolutely no prices on it. per the waitress, the main company got tired of having to print new menus with all the price changes. I'd we wanted though, there was a QR code on the table to use or phones to see prices. not very user friendly in my opinion. So I just went ahead and ordered 6 naked wings with medium Buffalo and a side salad. My husband ordered 3 chicken strips and fries with nacho cheese. I ordered several different chicken wings for a party. The garlic habanero and the lemon pepper dry rub wings had good flavor. However, the 3 mile island wings were kind of bland I don't know if it's a local thing but I have tried hot wings from several places and they are just not very hot. One thing I did not like was that several of the drumstick pieces were cracked and splintered. I know this happens occasionally, but there just seemed to be too many that way. Everyone kept chewing into the loose splinters. I ordered online for pickup. The ordering process was pretty easy, and my order was ready right on time.

Not what I remembered about Hooters. I can't say it's worse or better than any Hooters I've been in. Cuz it's been a long time since I've been in one. I definitely will go back and try it again and give her an updated review

Fish and Chips, (sub : onion rings) great. The Tarter Sauce was foamy like over cooked and very warm. Good thing I had some at home . It should have been packed separately.
