Last night we dined here as a family of 6 and had a special occasion, my mum's birthday, ruined due to poor service and excessively long waits between only 2 courses, of what is basically just simple pub grub. The restaurant seemed to be overbooked for apparently only having one chef on and a large party were also seated behind this, I'm assuming the kitchen was just overwhelmed here, the front of house basically ignored us most of the night knowing how long we had been waiting. The manager *guy with glasses), basically just mumbled some half hearted apology then proceeded to bring the wrong order when the main courses did eventually arrive, one of our party didn't get their fish n chips and...
A very good meal at a reasonable price, staff were very attentive and always smiling. I had a Pil Pil starter which, whilst nowhere near a Spanish Pil Pil, it was a great effort. Then I had the roast beef, an excellent choice for a Sunday roast, plenty of beef and veg and the gravy was so tasty. A great Merlot at a good price was a good addition. We shall be back.
4 of us celebrating our sons graduation. Service was excellent, food was delicious and plentiful, not rushed with time between starters and main, all 4 of us enjoyed our meals and will definitely be paying another visit and would recommend to others with no hesitation.
It's not possible to have dinner while watching a football match on TV. Only the bar area allows you to see the TV. I insisted but their rules are very (too) strict. The customer is not king...

A very busy lively bar/restaurant. Given there were about 30 of us on a Saturday evening the service and food quality was very good. We had pre-ordered our choices.
Excellent venue, quality food, very honest price, very pleasant British music and pleasant staff. Highly recommended.
The restaurant staff were amazing really good service. Food was good and we got the special.
