St Paul de Vance is 100% tourist. Every shop in the High Street is an art gallery or an estate agent. Also be prepare for a kilometre walk after parking your car as the place bulges with visitors.With reason. The village is stunning, OK it has been restored but it is still stunning, even the streets are paved with flowers and patterns set in stone.Avalanches of tourist mean average to low quality restaurants to me. We spent an hour trying to find one where I didn't have zip up my pockets.And the Hostellerrie les Ramparts didn't look particularly attractive. It was half empty whilst the other places had queues. But we were hungry and the place had a great view of a great view.But there my ret...
Although St Paul de Vence is well known as a favourite of tourists, this little ramshackle restaurant is a little bit off the most touristic track. As a result, prices are more reasonable compared to the other local restaurants. We found this place quite by chance and it being a warm lunch time in mid September it was only moderately busy. We sat outside on the terrace that has good views. The waitress turned out to be quite a character, very friendly and helpful. The food, salad followed by grilled sea bass, was surprisingly good. We have written down the particulars of this restaurant for definite future visits.
Visiting the town we wanted a restaurant with a view and we were not disappointed. Table of four with the most amazing view over the countryside. Good Provence food simply prepared and delicious . The staff were such fun and so engaging. Simple menu but felt that we had been friends with the staff all our lives. You have to visit and relax over typical French food from the area.Will revisit soon .
We stopped in this restaurant by chancel while visiting St. Paul de Venlce with friends from Marsailles. The food was fresh and well prepared, and was nicely complemented by a bottle of local wine. The waitress was friendly and happily answered questions in French and English. The views alone would make this worthwhile, but the food completes the experience

Mum and I had a lovely lunch here. Small menu but beautiful cooked, and the service was wonderful. I do wish our waitress well with her first baby girl due in February. To have rushed around looking after us in her condition is no mean feat. A little gem.
We ordered sea salad with squid (Salade mer), shrimps with mayonnaise (Bouquet crevette) and drank tasty vin rosé (Bailli de Provence). Service was relaxed and quick. Good atmosphere! It was nice to sit near the balcony looking at the marvellous scenery.
You'd normally refers to this as a typical French big plates blow out restaurant... if it wasn't for the price! A bit ramshackle like the Terrace but cleaner and more open. The waitresses are a hoot and great fun. They made it a real experience.
A small restaurant with a terrace without great claims but with a very beautiful view and some very welcoming people. The food was good and the rose rose by the Provance was excellent. I recommend this place

We ordered several dishes and all came tasty! Try the duck and whole sea bass. The creme Brule is delicious. Say hi to Kathleen the owner!
