I visited Hot Star fried chicken for a quick snack while shopping around Pacific Mall, but the size of the chicken is huge! It was definitely better to share, and not really snack-size. I ordered the Korean style flavor and it was a lil bit spicy but delicious. The only downside was the disorganized ordering and the lineups. It's confusing to find the order line vs the food pick-up line. I also had two people try to take my food when my number was called, despite myself saying it was my order. Food was good, but it was a little too hectic to get it.
Worst customer service. They asked me to take another person’s order because no one picked up that order (or because they made a mistake…who knows) But that order was on the counter for a long time and not warm anymore! It’s ridiculous that they gave me attitude and became very rude because of me not taking another person’s order. Will never come back and will spread the words to people around me
First time there! I know it's been here forever it seems at pacific mall and I've seen the downtown location. So I finally got to try it and it was really good!! I got the original salt and pepper and it was good! And it really just that big! Bigger than my hand!! The service was quick and fast. Not sure how busy they are on weekends. But I was there on a weekday afternoon.
The food tasted just like the other Hot Star locations, which was excellent. The portion size was generous, and there were minimal bones in the pieces, which was a plus. However, the service left much to be desired; the staff appeared to be disinterested and didn't seem to care about their work. Overall, the experience was decent, but the poor service was disappointing.

This restaurant really needs to be closed down! The level of cross-contamination is unacceptable. I saw a staff member handling food and cash simultaneously, and then she touched her face and hair! It's extremely unsanitary. The kitchen was also in poor condition. I honestly can't understand how they manage to pass health inspections. Please, steer clear of this place.

Arrived at 7:20, stood there in line waiting to order. They served the people in front of me but when the server eventually acknowledged me and refused to serve me because they were “closed” when they don’t close until 7:30. They were still open at 7:41pm and had processed two other orders since.
The Special BBQ Sauce, I would pass on. It was a bit to soggy for me. The Cheese fried chicken was great. The cheese was only on one side of the chicken. I thought it would be throughout the piece. It is what it is.

I have nothing positive to say. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I received chicken that was as hard as a rock!
