Braced for "you can't leave that there" I was pleasantly surprised to hear "Hello, welcome to Athos. Would you like me to put that in a garage for you? Take your jacket off and I'll get you a beer". Located midway up a small hill a few minutes walk away from the Baden-Baden city centre, this quaint boutique hotel is warm and inviting from the minute you step in. The owner/manager/waiter (not sure which position he has, but whichever it is he is very capable in either role) is extremely friendly and very helpful. He immediately grabbed our 4 luggages and carried them to our room. Then on our last day although he doesn’t use the bus system often when we asked him a question regarding bus timetables, he was very quick to rush off to the nearest bus stop and explain everything to us. A peine arrivé sur le parking avec la voiture, à l'arrière de l'hôtel et vue le manque de place, une personne est venue pour nous dire où nous garer, sympa.À l'intérieur, la même personne nous accueille très gentiment pour remplir les formalités et portent nos valises (!) au 2eme étage. Cool ! Pas d'ascenseur mais joli escalier et ambiance chaleureuse. Chambre très spacieuse, 3 fenêtres, vue sur les arbres, beau mobilier, grande armoire, salle de bain sympa, douche, wc, lavabo, chaussons, savon, gel douche, brosse à dents (!) et dentifrice. Minibar (un peu bruyant) avec boissons gratuites, excellent.Petit déjeuner très correct, fruits, charcuterie, fromages, crêpes, pains divers, confitures,...
Nos quedamos dos días en este hotel. La verdad, es que quedamos satisfechos. El trato fue amable y las habitaciones limpias. Por 6€/persona y día tuvimos desayuno, me parece que esta bastante bien. La distancia a los puntos de interés tampoco está mal, aproximadamente unos 15 minutos a pie de la oficina de turismo y a unos 20 de las Caracalla Thermen. Como punto negativo, el Chekin se puede hacer entre las 14 y las 18, me parece un poco estrecho el margen de tiempo.Como punto positivo, el trato tan amable del personal. Una de las noches también comimos en el restaurante griego que pertenece al hotel (o viceversa) y la comida tampoco estuvo mal, tampoco fue el mejor griego que hemos probado....

bon accueil chambre très propre mais nous n'avons pas apprécier !!!! car coté route très bruyant et pas de rideaux occultants n'y volets chambre 18 NOUS avons subit jusqu'à a 2h30 un groupe de motards anglais très fortement alcoolisés sans que le manager intervienne nous l'avons fait nous mêmes !!!! dormi 4 heures malgré un petit geste commercial nous sommes restés déçus de notre escapade a baden baden le diner était sympa avec du personnel agréable LE RESTO OUI L'HOTEL DOMMAGE
Authentic place, nice stuff and excellent Greek food next to the Lichentaler alee.Moussaka in combination with rose vine was very tasty.As the hotel guest I had a breakfast for free on a day when I was arrived.Even though I was tired and sleepy after very early morning flight, I still remember those homemade pancakes with cherry marmalade and an excellent coffee :))))Great value for money comparing to other places in Baden Baden, don't miss it :)

A small hotel run by a Greek family, hotel is OK, smell of cooking in room, bed sagged in the middle, pillow hard, shower only had a low down holder, difficult to get a decent shower.Food was all Greek, and was OK.The good bits, it had parking, was cheap, and only 10min walk to town.
