Cafe Chez Monique - Reserva de mesa

Although we had booked this, the only place in town to stay, the staff had not prepared our bedroom. It is a small hotel run by two women, neither of whom smiled throughout our stay. After the room was made ready we were shown to it. It was ok and there was a decent shower. It was clean. Dinner was absolutely rubbish. I am sure it was left over lunch heated up. Not a smile, not a pleasantry at all. Breakfast was pretty similar. Unfortunately this was the most expensive place we stayed in 3 weeks in France while walking the Camino.

When we entered the restaurant it was clear from the manner of the hostess that our presence was going to be too much work. She was rude and put out that she had to clear a table for us. After a long wait she had still not even reset the table let alone taken the order. By this time we decided to leave the unpleasant atmosphere of the restaurant without even placing an order.

I was going by accident on my way home from vacation and I'm very aggressively surprised food is very good and the waitress very smiling. Really very pleasant as experience and food is delicious! We are 4 to have eaten and we are all very satisfied!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

Artisan beer and coffee on the square for 5€! Saw walkers with massive rucksacks going both ways, presumably on the Chemin de Compostelle. Very relaxing break in our journey.

After walking st Jacques, stop in this restaurant where the welcome was very nice, well cooked, hearty. We had a great time. Sheltered terrace. I recommend.

Good welcome from the boss and his waitress. Don't hesitate to stop to enjoy a very good omelette which comforts the pilgrim after the kilometers traveled.
