Surfacing after a dreadful time due to Covid, Sylvie and Stéphane have emerged stronger , and even more determined to serve their loyal customers. The restaurant is still uniquely French, providing .lovingly prepared dishes , with care , The Hotel rooms are comfortable , if a little quirky! and all the better for that! We’ve tried many restaurants in Loches but this is very much in the top 3 for quality of food, top for restaurant ambiance and top for value for money. The dining room is air conditioned, lovely high ceilings, beautiful mirrors and well presented tables with linen cloths and serviettes. A touch of classic, traditional French at its best. We had a three course menu dinner at about 24Euros but there were cheaper as well as more expensive options. Dine in style either in the Charming, beautifully decorated Dining Room, or outside in the courtyard. The owners have come through some difficult times recently , but still manage a unique, family welcome. The meu touristique is amazing value, and other menus suit all tastes . Everything prepared meticulously on site, and carefully served, with the honour the food deserves. Fantastic choice of local wines. Always worth a welcoming detour to the unchanging , unique Hotel de France .
This was a bit of a blast from the past in a good way. A very traditional looking French dining room with efficient staff and delicious food. A few more people would have enhanced the experience as there were only three tables occupied. The food, traditional French but with a lighter touch, was delicious and well presented: both food and wine were reasonably priced for the surroundings. The terrace also looked a good place to eat.
