my friend and I stayed in the heart of dinkelsbuhl and had to eat some evening, so we went to the hotel German house and were not disappointed by our choice. the dining room was very warm and welcoming with its old wooden beams and its painted walls and cover. the waitress was helpful in the wine selection and made helpful suggestions for dinner. I had wild boar chops that, with a word, were unbelievable. with this hotel we cracked the jackpot. it has a historical input as well as any quantity history. the rooms are modern and well equipped. parking in the city center is only possible for a short time, but the hotel organizes long-term parking outside the city walls. the owner apologised for the bells of the church opposite, but it contributed to the charm, even if it was around 6 o'clock in the morning. the evening meal was wonderful and the breakfast was included in our tariff and was plentiful. think of dinkelsbühl instead of rothenburg, it is more authentic

I was in the restaurant on Thursday evening before a child's tea (the annual fest in dinkelsbühl), and the restaurant was barely filled to half. still it took half an hour until we got our main dish - 2 sucks with sour wort, divided into two people. the main courts came more than 1⁄2 hour after. on demand the waitress claimed that this is because "the people in the order are served in which they give up their order". now, if the kitchen staff can not work more than one order at the same time, they should perhaps draw a teacher. that was great.

we just stayed one night. we had the executive suite. very large suite with separate seating area and extra bed area. very European. the room was beautifully decorated. the personal at the reception was very nice and helped with our luggage (no elevator). this is a small hotel, but it was one of the most beautiful we visited. they even parked our car (against the fee) and on the morning we noticed that our car had been taken before the hotel without asking us at all. authentic in every sight! the family house of drechsel was built in 1440 when hans drechsel was the master citizen of dinkelsbühl. perfect location on the central market. beautiful antiques in every room and great eating in the restaurant. and who can resist to go to the city with such a curious and funny name!

beautifully detailed dining room with several coats on the deck and three impressive wooden chandeliers. the food was well prepared with love for detail. at our visit was a five-course menu available. beautiful wine card. excellent service.

great food and service. if they haven't stayed here, they should try to eat here! the tables on the front terrace are great for a drink in front of the evening meal, but the ambiente is in the historical dining room.

on the romantic road back to münchen may not miss dinkelsbühl. we decided to stop
