Hotel du Comminges is in the main square opposite St Bertrand de Comminges' famous cathedral. The cathedral dates back to the 12th century and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Santiago de Compostela routes across France. The hotel, partly housed in an old nunnery, has simple comfortable rooms and serves a tasty breakfast. It has a garden out the back, or you can sit out on the tables at the front, in the sunshine, having a drink or lunch and watching the world go by. There is almost no traffic with time passing only marked by the cathedral bells.
Hotel du Cominges has a bar with a very beautiful terrace located in the main square of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, just in front of the cathedral. It is very well located in the town. Pitifully we arrived here at 10 o'clock at morning and they did not have food to eat a sandwich (we have to go to other bar to buy this), also the coffee was expensive and bad. Very good location, bad coffee and service. As already mentioned, the cafe only serves drinks. However, I've stayed in the hotel several times and have always found the staff more than friendly. The rooms are basic, but clean and the breakfasts are very nice indeed.

Stopped here for a quick drink and it was a nice shady relaxing spot with a great view of the church. Friendly service.
