We had just completed a visit to the Dachau concentration camp when we were in dire need of lunch. Rather than get back on the train to Marienplatz like everyone else, we decided to stay a little longer and have lunch. Hotel Fischer is located a short walk from the train station and offers all your traditional German fare. The service was great, the waitress spoke English. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We got the veal schnitzel, jacket potatoes with bacon and some fried Dachau sausage. I highly recommend the jacket potatoes with bacon. We asked to share the Brotzeit platter for lunch. The language barrier caused some confusion and we overheard extensive discussion among the staff about "sharing". When a massive platter full of appetising looking and delicious food arrived we assumed that we had been served two portions. Despite eating with great enjoyment and somewhat gluttonously we could not finish it all. Imagine our amazement when we indeed received a bill for a single portion. At 10.30 euros it was the best value feast we ever had. And despite the language difficulties the service was delightfully welcoming.

Nach dem Besuch des Sealife Aquarium in München, haben wir uns entschlossen, zum Mittagessen nach Dachau zu fahren. In der Innenstadt fiel uns das Tavernhotel Fischer mit seiner markanten Außenfassade auf. Die reichhaltige Speisekarte, die durchgehende Öffnungszeit, moderate Preise und die außerordentlich freundliche Bedienung haben uns angenehm überrascht. Noch mehr erstaunt waren wir vom Essen selbst. Besonders empfehlen kann ich die "Knödelgröstel"-Knödelschnitten mit Majoran, herrlicher Bratensoße, Speck und Ei, serviert in einer kleinen Eisenpfanne.Preis 7,50 € Köstlich!!!

Sono ritornata di recente all'hotel Fischer di Dachau e devo dire che è stato nuovamente un gran piacere! Precedentemente mio marito ed io avevamo anche pernottato, questa volta abbiamo solo degustato l'eccellente birra e l'ottimo cibo bavarese.......magari se non conoscete il tedesco o l'inglese potete avere delle difficoltà a capire il menù, ma qualsiasi cosa proviate, sarete deliziati.Consigliando a tutti di andare a provarlo, auguro a noi di ritornarci presto!!! After the grim reality of the Dachau Camp Memorial it was nice to be greeted by a welcoming server who spoke excellent English. We all enjoyed the Bavarian beer and each tried something different. All four dishes were delicious. The bonus is it is right across the street from the train station. We recommend dining here.

Wer das Alltagsprogramm liebt, ist dort gut aufgehoben. Was die bayerische Küche hergibt, wird serviert. Es gibt einen Mittagstisch mit einer abwechslungsreichen und auch nicht unbedingt bayerischen Karte. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich. Grundsolides Lokal ohne viel Schnickschnak .

On est en Bavière et le restaurant nous le fait savoir (et tant mieux).Des spécialités très bien préparées, les plats sont copieux et délicieux.Un rapport qualité/quantité/prix excellent (80€ à 5, boissons comprises).Un accueil et un service agréable .Merci!

gehabt. Die Freundlichkeit war überschaubar. In einem war eine Eierschale. Das ist der Grund warum das Ei NICHT direkt in die Pfanne geschlagen wird. Die Schale könnte unleckere Bakterien haben. Das muss nicht sein. Reserva una mesa ahora

Les plats sont vraiment excellent copieux et très bien présentés mais l'attente est parfois un peu longue mais la qualité des plats mérite largement l'attente

We were visiting Dachau and regularly visited this awesome this place. Great ambience, great food and Best beer. Surely recommended for all.
