This place serves fresh trout which they keep in an overstocked tank outside the premises. These incidentally are most definitely not caught from the actual Blaue Quelle as the trout in the spring are much smaller and there are not too many of them.The food is Austrian and most definitely served with Austrian specialties and peculiarities.Do not order salad unless you like pumpkin seed oil, as it swims in it.Should you order a schnitzel then expect that this will have been cooked in animal fat rather like a flavoured lard. If a restaurant deep in the woods tries to present a "worldwide" menue it can only go wrong. What exactly it did. Sashimi and sushi and other exotic dishes instead of simple but well prepared local dishes. When the aspirations far outpace the chef's capabilities you get this kind of food.We had breakfast, pre-opera snacks and dinner at the restaurant.The food presentation was at best "simple", the sashimi was 3 rather large pieces of Thuna lying somewhat lost on their plate. The roasted Blutwurst was ok but nothing to write home about and the Bratwurst with Kraut a total failure.The breakfast beacon was way to salty and fried to death.Unless you stay at the hotel and don't want to leave eat...

excellent restaurant with very good food and service plus a relaxing ambiance,worth many visits . Interesting part is their own spring with crystal clear water,unfortunately they are not allowed to serve it to their clients however you can get water from the nearby fountain

The food and wine were perfect. The staff is very friendly and they speak English. The fish was great and the Austrian white wine was a perfect combination.
