Six of us ate dinner at Keutmann after a friend had recommended it and we were SO glad we did! We ate outside on their covered terrace overlooking the Rhine which was beautiful. (I only noticed a small inside dining room. Keutmann is off the B9 roadway next to a large campground outside of St. Goar proper. The restaurant tends to fill up quickly with campers as well as hotel guests, so plan accordingly. The service was acceptable even though the restaurant was quite full and we only noticed one very busy waitress handling tables. Prices on the menu were moderate for the area. Wow! Here was a lot from the season for dinner after you accidentally drove too far over the St. Goar Centre. Just beautiful. Like food in your Gran living room, but cooked with home, delicious food and warm, efficient service to fit. I had the meatballs after starting with a wonderful, very obviously homemade chicken broth, my friend had the scavenger, which was juicy and very fresh. Delicious salad dressing. 2.5 courses, 4 glasses of champagne and 2 bottles of water for 40 €! Hurry up before the masses beat you.
Among the best restaurants in this region of the Rhine. The Keutmann lunch and dinner menu located between Sankt Goar and Oberwesel is complete, but also includes special dishes that like a discriminatory palate. Oh, and the view of the Rhine is not too shameful. I have dined here three times in ten years and the food is consistently excellent.
