Came here for a birthday lunch because our first choice of restaurant in the centre of Montrichard was closed. We were not disappointed. For 13,50€ we had an amazing menu buffet starter (massive choice, from salad items, to cold meats, to patés, boiled eggs, the lot! , followed by Loup de Mer (Sea bass or Roasbeef (roast beef, more thickly cut than you 'd find in an English roast beef, but great all the same ; followed by a great selection of cheeses and homemade desserts (I had the mousse au chocolat and it was faultless , and coffee. Stayed here for one night whilst returning from Andorra, reserved the half board rate in advance. Arrived at 2000, having notified them we were running late, but they seemed ready to go home as soon as we got there! Evening meal of mixed cold meats followed by duck was nice enough. Rooms were comfortable although be warned, this hotel is literally right next to the railway and the station. When a freight train goes through, the whole hotel shakes! Breakfast although included in the rate, was a bit of a lt down. Consisted of a coffee with 3 slices of bread and jam.. Didn't really set me up for the day. Because of the location, I'd probably stay again Montrichard is a lovely town.

simple hotel with the minimum vital, shower wc .despite the proximity of the station, I haven't or almost haven't heard the trains, I think it's just an inter-city line. continental breakfast without cracks .deco kitch formica ... , on the other hand a small flat no slaughtering on the toilet and bad reception of some tnt chains !!! 150,48€ for three nights , quite in my budget .the more is that this hotel is at a flea jump of scallops and amboise and 2 jumps of camel chips and cheverny ....

Lunch started with a superb buffet which featured virtually everything that could be imagined. The main courses were ordered from an extensive menu that featured classic French dishes. The cheese course was ordered from an extensive array on the trolley, all served in perfect condition. Finally, the dessert trolley featured a variety of homemade delights. as we often went to this restaurant held by the former owner we regaled from his kitchen. we returned to this restaurant 2 times with the new owner and the 2nd time while we had booked a week ahead in the room there was a family meal of forty people so buffet of empty works of all specialites of fish crustaceans remains uniqly crudicted buffet of desserts When we lost three couples or we went back to it.

Although fixed in time at the level of decoration, this small hotel bar restaurant family nevertheless remains unreasonable on the prices of its restoration which is wide in choice and at will for entry. followed by 2 dishes to choose from. desserts. all for 13.90€/pers! recommended for those who want to eat well without ruining too much. the frame is authentic. The kitchen too, a real change.

Parked at station after bike ride and caught by rain we had lunch here ... looked modest however the food was fantastic. Carpaccio and a host of different starters including langoustines.. We helped ourselves and had as much as we wanted. Was a great find and really made up for the awful weather. A working person's lunch place. Brilliant value and very friendly staff

Room No.10 is located above the kitchen. in the evening around 9pm, at the close of the hotel, an engine (ventilation, compressor?). is set in the kitchen for the night. it produces in the room a low but unbearable noise by its frequency and the vibrations it generates. a dinner with a good franquette. the decor is disappointed and the food of the simplest. input: meat plate and dish: pork language rice and vegetables. We found this without more. price is reasonable. Don't make you want to come back.

I do better at home.The entrance buffet, simple and not always great next to the hour when you arrive, dishes I find no taste and ice desserts not too much choice for desserts "season", it can be very good for workers but I no.
