Hotel Restaurant du Chateau

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Absolutely fantastic location to get nighttime views of Chateau De Josselin. I would definitely recommend paying the few extra euros to get the castle view rooms. As with many hotels in the Bretagne region rooms are pretty basic but yet are sufficient if you just want somewhere to lay your head down after a day ssightseeing. I wouldn't recommend it for romantic breaks or honeymoon couples. The bar in the hotel had a very early closing time and staff at reception were quite cold and more interested in engaging with local people rather than guests. Hotel car park was located across the road from the hotel but handy in a town where parking is difficult to find at times.

We called in on chance and had an amazing lunch at a very reasonable price. Two of us. Three courses plus coffee plus bottle of lovely wine for under 60€ Very efficient service as well and what an amazing setting.

We took advantage of the view on the terrace, but on our plates, the foie gras in the Landes salad was neither fresh nor appetizing, we reported it to the server, but it did not follow., we will not return.

nothing out of the ordinary but reasonable. best choice for themonth of november. reasonable good french typical food

excellent value for money and full breakfast in varied and hearty buffet with view of the chateau
