Hotel Restaurant Juantorena

Really enjoyed our brief stay at the hotel of which the restaurant was the highlight. The service was delightfully attentive and charming as staff explained ( in French) the unusual menu ( to us!) in detail. My husband played safe and ordered a steak with house frites: thick, juicy beautifully caramelised if a little rarer then he would normally order ( his insistence!). My Lamb fricassee was a suprise ( sweetbreads) but delicious and my daughter's duck heart was a culinary first for her. A great experience. Deserts were more generic and a little disappointing for that. House wine was very reasonably priced and drinkable. Overall a very enjoyable experience I'd happily repeat.

This restaurant must be able to be well but I think you should not go there with a smartbox, wonderbox or other type box, because when you compare your plate (like plate of course) you are unpleasantly surprised by the contents of your plate compared to that of the neighbouring table. It's not at random because it's produced at every meal and with every dish. Meat is hard, too cooked, of bad quality....I'll say we try to see you go as soon as possible and we bring you the 2nd dish while you start the entrance!!!

Estuvimos unas 15 personas de Pamplona y Madrid, la dueña del restaurante es encantadora como una madre que cuida a todos las personas que van a su casa, la comida vascofrancesa y el entorno es precioso, todos los camareros hablan, frances, eukera y español y nos fuimos encantados del trato, es un hogar muy especial.

passing to the aldudes a very sunny day on the terrace where trees had not yet released their leaves. Friendly reception of the boss. well cooked and digested chipirons. Good irouleguy.
