Hotel Restaurant Pub La Sirene

The restaurant which we had been led to believe was very good was disappointing. With a small menu it is important we feel, that there are great flavours and sadly this was not the case. The fish soup lacked depth of flavour. The prawns were good. My rump steak while rare was stringy, (possibly a butchery problem). The real problem was that the vegatables of which there were plenty, were very wet. While it wasn't dreadful it was not what we had hoped.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Correct price/quality for all seafood. Great fresh grey shrimps. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant at the first floor. Funny thing is that all drinks seem to come from the (charming) pub downstairs. There are a few tables overlooking the sea but the place has a cosy feeling (in the evening) overall.

Upon asked whether the neighboring restaurant sells good food, the host openly complained about their food with their staff directly nearby. This put us in a very odd situation. A little more delicate choice of words would have been appreciated, the tea and coffee were food though.

Had a lovely evening meal. It is a charming restaurant overlooking the sea. The staff were very helpful explaining any difficulties with the language. We chose the 29 euro menu and were both delighted with our chooses. I would definitely recommend this venue.

This hotel has a great location (10 mins to Etretat) and a nice view. The staff is nice. The rooms are simple but comfortable.
