This is a traditional bar/restaurant in the centre of Dormagen, halfway between Koln and Dusseldorf. We have stayed in the hotel and eaten in the restaurant many times and this week's experience was just the same. The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. The restaurant...serves some good traditional German foods along with some nods towards international cuisine. Both hotel and restaurant are good value but it is the people that make Hottche so good. The owner, his wife, the waiting staff including one of the owner's daughters and the hotel reception woman are all friendly and efficient. Each year when we return they remember us and greet us warmly. A very pleasant place all round.
After 3 weeks of camping we decided to book a hotel as a treat. We received a price of €109 including dog and parking, so we went out to pay the car and the price had up to €134, which we felt obliged. The hotel on the first performance was good, with courtesy staff. We were then shown where our room was where we found a stained rug, spun weaving and a huge moist spot at the bottom of the wall. Beautiful bathroom and breakfast, just a shame that didn't fit the room, finally at €134, await you something impressive. Wouldn't be back.
Beautiful decoration, friendly service and nice food presentation, they have chefs from different countries and they specialize in different dishes, good deserts, save space for them is worth it.The big saloon is reserve for private parties and weddings it is maintain to the original times of the openings ??? Really unique.If you get really tired or drink to many beers you can stay in the hotel : )
I was at the hotel for two weeks and had many excellent meals there. Everything from schnitzel to sausage to steaks were perfectly prepared. The bar is well equipped, there are five beers on Hahn, local beers from Düsseldorf and Cologne as well as three more... German beers. It can be crowded at weekends, but there are many seats, but I both add inside out. I never waited.

The restaurant and hotel is owned by croatian family and it gives nice mediteranian touch to the food. You can chose from many nice dishes, get big portion for modest price. Personal is friendly and I feel like at home ????
...with an uninspiring menu. However, food and drink are of reasonable quality, very friendly and attentive staff, several different areas inside for dining plus a terrace when the weather is good.
this restaurant offers typical German foods. the Argentine steak hoettche style is amazing. good beer and beautiful service
