For our first visit, we decided to order takeout. The dining area has been beautifully renovated. I opted for the fried croaker (bones included), sweet potato fries, and BBQ beans, and everything was absolutely delicious! The fish was cooked and seasoned to perfection, with just the right amount of salt. Usually, I'm not a fan of fish with bones as it can be difficult to eat, but I had no trouble at all with this one. My wife ordered the grilled flounder, and I couldn't help but try a bite; it was also perfectly cooked and seasoned. This will definitely be our go-to seafood spot in the Sandhills. It serves exceptionally fresh seafood and has a vibrant, welcoming family atmosphere (bar service is not available), with seafood as the main attraction. The North Carolina-style dishes are outstanding, and there are more side options on the menu than you might expect! Overall ratings: Food: 5, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 3.
For takeout dinner, I spent approximately $10–20 per person. I highly recommend the homemade potato salad and coleslaw, along with the house skins, pork rinds, tacos, fries, hush puppies, and baked beans. Additionally, there is free parking available.
