I would gladly work at House of India for a year without pay, just to receive one recipe at the end! This restaurant is a must-try in Huntington, offering the best food around. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and you can customize the spiciness level to your liking. Even those who claim to not like curry will fall in love with this place. The butter chicken, Eggplant Bharta, Garlic Naan, MALAI KOFTA, CHICKEN TIKKA KEBAB, Rogan Josh, and many others are all must-try dishes. Every meal at House of India is exceptional. Their delivery service is top-notch and the food is always well-packaged. Dining at this 5-star restaurant is a delightful experience. The family who runs the...

As for the food, my girlfriend and I started with samosas and a chicken dish she wanted to try. The samosa was filled with ground beef and peas, but had a slightly off smell. The chicken dish was breaded and unremarkable. For our main courses, I ordered lamb curry and chicken tikka masala. The garlic naan was doughy and uninspiring. The portion sizes were small for the price and the quality of the dishes was mediocre. Overall, I prefer the Indian food in Queens and would not return to this restaurant. Seva in Astoria has the best Indian food in my opinion. While the commute is further, the quality of the food is worth it. The waitress was the highlight of the experience. I would give this...

The restaurant appeared to be quite empty, possibly due to the strong smells of their spices that may be off-putting to some. We ordered the shrimp curry and Rohan Josh, but neither dish stood out to us except for the tough lamb meat. The meat samosas lacked flavor unless paired with the chutney meant for the papadam. While the garlic naan was flavorful, the piswari naan was too mushy and heavy, causing it to fall apart easily. We may have been better off trying the kebabs and butter chicken, although they were not recommended by the staff. Overall, our dining experience was underwhelming and we were not compelled to return. Additionally, parking was difficult on the streets, requiring a wal...

The Lamb Rogan Josh lacked flavor and heat, and the meat was not as tender as other places I have tried. The Chicken Jalfrezi was a huge disappointment, with sauce that tasted like it came from a jar or can and chicken that was not tender. Both dishes seemed reheated and not fresh. The only dish we enjoyed was the Navrattan Shahi Korma. The naan was cold and possibly stale. Overall, we were very disappointed with the food quality considering the high price point. It was far from mediocre, in fact, it was terrible. Reserva una mesa ahora

This was the worst meal I've had in a long time. The Chicken Tikka Kabob was dry and bland, resembling nothing more than a chopped chicken breast with a small serving of sauce. The Chicken Biryani was passable, with moist chicken but lacking any other substantial ingredients besides flavored rice. The soup was awful, tasting like vinegar instead of being flavorful. The Nan bread was decent. Overall, I was very disappointed, especially considering how much better the food used to be at this restaurant.

Worst meal in a long time. Soup was tasteless except for a vinegar flavor. Chicken Tikka Kabob (had no color to it) was little more than dry cut up pieces of chicken breast with a tiny cup of sauce-awful. Chicken Biryani had plenty of chicken which was not dry but little else. Ive had it from here before and it was loaded with other things besides flavored rice. Nan was good but had little ground meat. Just a very disappointing meal from a place that I know can do a lot better.

Food used to be better. I think they have some newer cooks. Not nearly as good as the older ones. Chicken dishes were very bland and without much taste at all. Portions are smaller, with less chicken. We found this true the last few times as we wanted to give another chance. Will not visit again. Too bad, used to love this restaurant

I am disappointed to hear that the restaurant is closed. I had a great dining experience there a few months ago. The staff was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable, especially for the upscale area of Huntington Village. I wish I had the opportunity to dine there more often. Namaste!
