We ate here 28/5/22 for my husband's 40th/our wedding anniversary combination meal for a special treat.we travelled from near grimsby after seeing a picture on Facebook a while before and luckily being able to secure a table.well it was so worth the travel and the wait! Everything was fresh and delicious, I've told everyone I've spoken to it was genuinely the best meal we have had in years! We were unable to tip the wait staff as it was cash tips only and unfortunately post covid we just don't carry it anymore,but the girls were a delight; they didn't pester us (a pet hate), they were polite and you could tell they were happy to work there with a smile for each person they saw. On Sunday in a bank holiday with my mother and my father. They were super busy, but the manager, Mark kindly checked us without a booking. Coming from Australia, our seafood is of very high quality, but that was more than tuned or better here. The dishes were all absolutely first class from the Oysters to the net and even the side of Coleslaw. When paying with my Aussie Credit Card there was a problem with the payment (used as the payment went through if it had not). Mark was very understanding and according to my details, I could settle the bill without drama. This is a must-do place to eat, they have also taken up my mother milk allergies. Thanks to Mark and Team, just excellent.

Absolutely delicious! Very expensive but the food is 100% worth it. When they say giant prawns they really mean gigantic prawns the size of your hands! Service was great, food was amazing, the restaurant was very clean and tidy, the toilets were ok too (door with a lock, plenty of toilet roll, clean and tidy). We will 100% be going there again. Only feedback I have is to have some kind of online booking system as you can only book by calling and they're not open every day.

Wow where do I begin , oysters amazing so much so we ordered more muscles cooked to perfection the sauce was delicious and huge portions, very quick and attentive service lovely restaurant with lovely staff a really enjoyable experience if you like seafood this plaice!! Myself and my husband tried this for our 11th wedding anniversary. Service was amazing, all staff were fully aware on what was on offer and how it was prepared. We had starters and mains. Absolutely 5 out of 5 for quality and quantity. Will go back

group of four had table booked personal excellent eating and service first class only make sure they are outside b4 8 pm, as the music volume is set on stun not find error with eating or drinking thanks to is definitiw back

The pub has a nice atmosphere and the food was excellent. I ordered the Black Rock steak, and it was definitely worth it! My husband had the fish and chips, which was also a hit. We will definitely be returning soon!

Lovely warm atmosphere.. .Beautiful food ..found it hard to choose it all sounded brilliant...and our food certainly was ... friendly first class service Could not fault anything at all ... Highly recommended ...

Great food and great service . The food was amazing. Be aware the portions are massive. Next time I'm in Hull I will definitely be back.
