I stopped by this restaurant to have a cold drink and a cheeseburger. I had recently visited a McDonald's located about 200 meters away from this Hungry Jack's. I have always preferred McDonald's food, but the nearby McDonald's was labeled as "The most disgusting McDonald's in Australia." After experiencing this, I was unsure if it was due to the location or the food quality. I must say that there is no comparison. The Hungry Jack's store was clean, the toilets were clean, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and positive. I will give Hungry Jack's another try because I had a much better experience compared to their main competitor.
I have been a loyal customer of HJ Carrum Downs for years and every visit I receive the most professional service with a smile and a friendly "have a good day" comment. I have never received the wrong order and the fact that they are open 24 hours is convenient for weekend visits or early morning coffees before heading out on the boat. Even though a McDonald's has recently opened only 200 meters away, I refuse to go there because another local McDonald's nearby has rude staff and consistently gets my order wrong. I can always count on the friendly team at HJ for the best service in town.

Hungry Jack's offers a very affordable lunch deal. We have had it at several locations and have enjoyed it each time. The offer includes a hamburger, 3 chicken nuggets, chips, ice cream, and a drink for only $5.95. Although we updated the hamburger, it is still a very good deal. My only criticism is the limited variety of drinks available. I do not drink carbonated beverages and there are no other options. It would be better if they offered orange juice as an alternative.

I placed an app order, anticipating possible delivery delays on a Friday night. The drive-thru had a line of about 12 cars, but it was moving steadily. I had ordered a sauce with one of the items, but it didn’t make it into the bag. The food was decent and warm, which was a plus.
