I recently visited a restaurant in Cairns Central and was not impressed with the service. The young girl who served me seemed overworked and unorganized, possibly due to a late night before. The restaurant itself was untidy and the food was not up to par. I have had a better experience at a Hungry Jacks in Melbourne last year, where the place was clean, well-organized, and the food was hot. In comparison, the burgers in Cairns Central were cold and my thin burger was undercooked. The chips were also disappointing, possibly due to poor quality potatoes. Even the coke was flat. I found Hungry Jacks at Cairns Airport to be the slowest dining experience I have ever had. Today, I stood in line for 20 minutes with only five other customers, waiting for basic fast food. Despite there being more staff than customers, the service was incredibly slow. It seems like there might be a policy in place for Hungry Jacks in Cairns to provide exceptionally slow and careless service. It's not a good idea to have such slow service when there is a McDonald's located just 20 meters away.
What an absolute joke, waited about 45 minutes in the queue, only 1 guy serving customers. Only to get to the front for the guy to say to me sorry we have no veggie burgers they sold out yesterday. Then why not put a sign up? Idiots, what an awful place. Will never eat at HUNGRY JACK'S AGAIN. wasted my time when it could have been resolved straight away. I'd give them a negative review if I could. Joke place.
We waited at least 15 mins for a medium chips, which seemed like a small serve and when we got them they were cold! The staff appeared to be bored and seemed totally unmotivated. Our second serve of chips we got at Mc Donalds in the same food hall. More customers but we received the chips within 2 Minutes from a friendly staff member, who even apologized for the wait.

Service is slow and confused, so much so we may have a new definition of fast food. The ham and cheese toaster was so greasy we just tossed it. The big breaky wrap was actually pretty good. Food was hot. Not hot drinks so I had a coke for breakfast. Counter service is poor. Price is cheap. I would find another place to eat.
I stood in line for 20 minutes only to be told that the ice cream machine was not working and they were out of frozen drinks. The service was slow and the waiter was unhelpful, mumbling his words and requiring me to repeatedly ask for clarification. Additionally, each meal was prepared individually, causing further delays.
They never charged when I asked for extra onion and tomato on my Whopper. Senior's coffee given without asking for ID I don't have an Australian seniors concession card which MOST places (including McDonalds) insist upon.
I was a bit confused but it makes sense as this is Burger King's Australian version. It tastes exactly the same as Burger King of USA. The one is the Cairns Central Shopping mall was good fast food chain.

The slow service was a joke. The size of the burgers are a joke. The value for money is a joke. $25.00 for 2 very small burgers,very small chips and coke a joke. Wont be back.
At the time we commented on how the food reminded us of how good Hungry Jack's was 20 years ago. Certainly better than we get in Brisbane.
