Hutter's im Schloss is my favorite upscale restaurant in Weinheim (and soon to be yours too) for the following reasons: EXCELLENT FOOD: We normally order the Badischen Bissen (Hutter's version of locally inspired classical tapas with an upscale flair). He begins by using the highest quality meats and fish and merges them with the finest herbs and spices to create a symphony of well orchestrated tastes for your pallet. For a starter try the Katalanische Fischsuppe (Fish soup) mit Garnelen infused with fresh herbs and seafood. Then opt for one of the menus or the Badische Bissen tapas such as the Jakobsmuscheln mit Olivenöl gebraten auf Blattspinat mit Pinienkernen und Safransauce (Sea Scallops on top of Spinach with Pine Nuts and Saffron sauce). EXCELLENT SERVICE: After living in Germany for 7 years I was convinced that the restaurant industry here was truly a service desert but no longer. The staff at Hutter's is well trained in their menus, accompanying wines, offering the utmost professionalism, and they are really nice people too. EXCELLENT AMBIENCE: Hutter's transformed a castle built around 1537 and created a restaurant which retains the original wall molding yet offers subtle modern pieces of light as well as a chic bar where you can also enjoy a snack or cocktail. The main room seats about 35 and there are private rooms as well for intimate dinners. I was so impressed with the menu, wine list, and service that I booked our wedding reception dinner here. Hutter's catered the after Standesamt ceremony with non alcoholic drinks and snacks. At our cocktail hour they catered sparkling wines and their famous tapas followed by the fantastic five course meal for 35 international guests. When planning my wedding day dinner Mr. Hutter and Ms. Schroeter offered outstanding ideas for our dinner so that our guests would enjoy an unforgettable meal. To this day our guests are still talking about how fantastic the meal was. As Hutter's is an upscale restaurant you should dress accordingly and enjoy an evening out with your sweetie, you won't be disappointed. Guten Appetit!!
