This review has an interesting twist. I appreciate the fair food available in the parking lot of Hy-Vee on some Saturdays. Initially, I had planned to eat there on Friday night, but after a long journey from Eagan to Elma, Iowa, and a shopping trip in southern Rochester, I found my way back to Rochester the next day to sample the good fair food. As a Hy-Vee shopper, I hadn’t visited this place when I lived in Rochester since I was based in the north part of the city. This location is near where the first Panera Bread was established before it relocated closer to Trader Joe's.

I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday and chose the daily special called the Ranch Turkey Melt. However, to my surprise, I was served a Quesadilla with ranch sauce on the side instead. Out of curiosity, I looked up Ranch Turkey Melt online and discovered that all the results linked to sandwiches, including references from Tyson and Land-o-Lakes. The hostess who took my order was very apologetic, but when she went to talk to the manager about the issue, they refused to make any changes, insisting that what I received was, in fact, a Quesadilla. Unfortunately, the hostess was called away before she could further address my concerns.
Extremely friendly people here. BTW, best kept secret in Rochester must be the MEAT COUNTER AND SUSHI BAR AREA. The Meat Counter has exceptionally interesting creations of ready to grill beef, chicken and other meats. Beautifully arranged and very tempting display. Check it out. There was a guy there who was very proud of his work and contributions to the excellent offerings. Just go look at it and be prepared to be amazed.
I didn't give a five-star review because there was no host or hostess to greet me. An elderly lady, who was seated at a table eating, just shrugged her shoulders when I approached. Eventually, she did get up to seat me, but that felt unprofessional. On the positive side, my waitress was wonderful; she took great care of me. I made sure to give her a tip for her excellent service.

Place your order at the service counter on the right side before entering, and your food will be delivered to your table. You can also choose your favorite items from the deli section. The seating area has a selection of condiments, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. The food is delicious, and the cashier was very friendly.
The ribeye steak and eggs were delicious. The ribeye was on the thinner side, but some may consider it the ideal portion. The lady who served the food was excellent, although I didn’t catch her name.
The restaurant was only half full, and they forgot to bring me my silverware, but the food was consistently delicious.
The waiter forgot to bring an entire pizza and also mixed up the sandwich order.

The restaurant appeared to be short-staffed, and the food was lacking in taste.
The burgers are outstanding, and the fries are fantastic too!
