People might not think of grabbing a drink at a grocery store but Hy Vee has a bar! After a quick grocery trip we saw a happy hour sign and stopped over.There were about 10 other people at the bar so we grabbed two seats and the bartender quickly came over and asked if we wanted menus. We declined but saw that many people were eating dinner and the food looked decent. We ordered two 16 Oz taps for only $3 each. Almost all taps, including craft beers, were included. It seemed there was only one exception. They have other great happy hours specials, the service was great and there was plenty of space. The only downside is that they close at 8pm. The pharmacy at here was good now it’s going down hill …. everybody seems to have a attitude.I went to get my booster it was like a effort for them to have to do it .Here …..fill this out … then we will take our time , we wanna let you know we don’t look at you or explain to you what’s going on just sit down and wait not another person at the pharmacy…….It’s going on a half hour and not a word …. Another lady came to get her shot and the both of us just sit here and nothing ..I drive 45 min to come to this store I can tell you one thing I will not be back …When I finally got called, the pharmacist was nice, but I really won’t want to go back
I enjoy Hy-Vee a lot, really like supporting them with my business. Hibachi guy is so ridiculously rude, though. As we 're standing waiting to be helped, he takes the scoops and places them on the opposite side, saying absolutely nothing. We waitedfor a few minutes, then he yells hibachi closed, no more! . This was at 5:20pm on a Saturday. All the other food places stillopen in the food court. We 've been told many times hibachi closed at 7pm. So why close 1.6 hours early, and be rude about it?
Self check out is often your only option and it is not as functional as other stores (1 cashier tonight). Staff are only sometimes able to assist when you have issues. Add to that having to weave through the people filling orders with their big carts in the middle of aisles. The store used to be better but I was able to get through Cub much faster.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. No issues with kiddos being loud or messy.Parking: There are 4 free EV charging parking spots right up front, 2 by the pharmacy and 2 by the main entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible. Motorized carts are also provided at the main entrance of the store.
Love the convenience of having them close by for food and gas, but I?ve been disappointed repeatedly with the quality of their produce, as well as the higher prices compared to other local groceries. Feel like we need some competition in the area to drive prices down a bit. I do like the pharmacy- top notch.
Avoid the meat counter. Meat guy Steven R, refused to custom cut Ribeye steaks for my wife. Only offerings are thin cuts. I complained to the store.....not a peep from anyone which shows me they are going downhill fast. Hamel Medina needs a full service store like a Lunds or Byerlys.
Great store like their sisters in Spring Lake Park and Brooklyn Park!! The dairy guy was extremely helpful and I do hope their vendors treat them as well as they treat the consumer!!! Thank you for a great experience and thank you for supporting theVikings!!!!
