I visited this Japanese restaurant for the first time and, having tried many Japanese eateries—including some ramen in Tokyo—I was eager to see what they had to offer. Unfortunately, the seafood ramen combo from Ichiban didn't quite capture the authentic experience I was hoping for. It fell short in terms of flavor, taste, and presentation. The noodles were slightly overcooked, but that was manageable. The California roll was decent, though not as good as others I've had before. Overall, it was an average experience. I didn't want to complain, as I wanted my family to enjoy a stress-free dining outing. On a positive note, the customer service was excellent!
The place is gorgeous. They really went out of their way to make the place look nice. The service was pretty slow even though the place was not very busy and it was a Tuesday afternoon.My husband worked at a sushi bar for many years so our expectations are high. With that said, the sashimi was pretty fresh. Yellowtail sushi was great. Salmon was in a strong sauce that wasn't great and really stole the flavor of the sashimi. Overall it was okay but we will most likely only come back if friends wanted to come back as a group.
My husband took me here on a Saturday night. He had been for lunch before and said the food was great. Not sure what the issue was, either short handed in the kitchen or wait staff, but we nearly walked out. Food took over 45 minutes and servers were not very attentive or apologetic. But the food was excellent. We'll probably go back, just not a weekend evening. Hope they get their service issues worked out.
I love this place and the food is delicious. The only downfall is sometimes the waiters forgot your order but they are short staff so I never complained about it They are always so polite and apologize and retake my order.
