for bento boxes and an octopus karaage. Portion is way too small. Is it quality I paid for? Nothing to shout about as it is almost the same elsewhere at half the price. Dipping sauce for the tempura didn’t come out until we’re...almost done with our meals, and that when prompted about our miso soups. The warm rice for one of the bento boxes came out undercooked, later found out it was done by a trainee. The master cook should have tasted the bulk before anything else but didn’t. First time and my last time here. Doesn’t matter what the other reviews rave about but it’s definitely not fine dining price for a cafe.

I made a reservation in advance for the Omakase (degustation) dinner at this restaurant. The six courses included seasonal seafood and meat, all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Panko Crumbed kingfish with fresh salsa, the beef tenderloin with crumbed lotus, and the pork belly with daikon. However, the standout dish was the chawanmushi with seafood, which was silky smooth and packed with umami. The service was friendly and welcoming. Despite the limited space, the restaurant had a cozy charm. Definitely a hidden gem in the suburban area of Leeming.

Our first visit, and we will come again. Green tea, in a good size tetsubin, came quickly I think, alternatively, you get drinking water without paying for it. I ordered cold soba, which I enjoyed, and that could be the simplest complete meal one...could savor here. The soba came on a bamboo mat, with a few ice cubes, sauce to dip it in, and accompanied by tempura. My wife ordered the bento set priced at It would be filling for her, but I got to taste and like the tuna sashimi. Service was excellent even though we came at a very busy time. Our reservation was made without fuss.

The art of Japanese cuisine is on quality ingredients, simply prepared with love, by the chef to provide an enjoyable meal to the guest. Shiro San did that today at lunch for us. Small busy restaurant in suburbia, more expensive than some but made up...for in quality and taste. Cheaper than others so great value in many respects too. Happy staff and chef. Really great miso soup (and I usually only have a little but ate it all). Great food not being hidden in a host of unnecessary sauces. Yes, reviewing this is going to make getting a seat so much harder next time. Reserva una mesa ahora

I traveled from Darwin and read reviews about the omakase at this restaurant. I made a reservation online, then followed up with an email to book the omakase two days in advance without thinking to call beforehand. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the suburban restaurant outside the city, we discovered that our booking was not for the omakase. The regular menu was standard commercial Japanese fare, so we decided to leave and return to the city. I imagine the head chef may be curious as to why we left suddenly and is possibly reading this review now.

I have a friend who lives around the corner from this place and we have been a number of times. An absolute treat to eat here and the food is worthy of a fine dining establishment. Super small so we choose to take it away...and have in a local park across the road. Never disappointed with our orders, great service and fast. Super fresh, different and utterly amazing.

We tried the customized omakase menu. The seating was cozy but a bit cramped. The kitchen took up a significant portion of the restaurant. The salmon was tasty as expected. The broth with scallop-filled fried balls was incredibly flavorful. The tempura white fish Sang Choy Bau was unique with a tangy jelly accompaniment. The thinly sliced beef was also delicious.

This is a small, busy but nice Japanese restaurant that serves nice food. Service is attentive despite being a busy restaurant. As it is a suburban restaurant, its prices are a bit on the high side. It is unlicensed but charges corkage which is a...bit annoying. Nevertheless, will be back. Reserva una mesa ahora
