I have been there two years ago and it's still the best restaurant in Australia for me. I love their high quality food, especially I enjoyed sushi of tuna. Seriouslly, it's hard to find a restaurant that can serve such a high quality food with this price even in Japan. The staffs were also amazing. They said they have grown in Japan or studied in Japan and they know not only Japanese language but also Omotenashi mind of Japan. I had fantastic dinner here! I hope the chef and staffs still work here.
Given the ratings, I was expecting something a lot more impressive. Instead, I was served amateur quality sushi that is comparable to takeaway stores. The sashimi was likely frozen and rather tasteless. The sushi rice was overcooked and mushy. The choices for sushi rolls were cheap. Maybe the cooked dishes are the reason for the high zomato ratings but for anyone who even knows what good sushi is do not go here. You would get much better quality at sushi train.
Disappointed experience! The food was bad, the had the king fish as main. The fish was dry and served with simple steamed vege without sauce. Not worth paying a fine dining price for a hospital food or inflight food quality! The service was bad and rushed to serve the birthday cake when we were still eating the main. Then they served the cake with a damaged edge as they accidentally tipped it. The overall experience was unpleasant.
one of the hidden gems in adelaide. fabulous decorations and ambiente, great friendly service and super tasty Japanese food. our food came on time and never went after home hungry. 100% satisfied. thanks for the friendly hospitality. we'll be back soon when we visit adelaide. they have made the birthday of my partner extra despite the hard day we had from the sick house. of heart, many thanks. The small, nicely decorated decorated place served some very good dishes indeed. The tofu was awesome, the salmon suchi to die for , but the tempura and crispy skin salmon ok, but not to the standard of some of the other dishes The service was attentive and friendly but the corkage at $20 per bottle a little steep I would certainly recommend you give this place a try to see how you like it.
the restaurant. recommend booking early as it can be packed very quickly. the restaurant itself probably sits only about 6-7 tables. happy with eating and service. the dishes are among others okonomiyaki, black Mio-Cid and gyoza. I had better sushi roles, but her is not bad. will come back.
came to dinner here, ordered the black pfeffer huhn, which was beautiful, but it wasn't so spicy. the waiter let us know that sushi wasn't on the menu in this night, and when we ordered a dish with fish, it was cut quite unconsistently so that my guess is the sushi cook was sick.
