Absolutely horrible service this place used to be good now it's extremely biased and have preferred customers they lie about items being out of certain food but then you see the waitress giving someone else the exact thing they said they are out of. They clearly, made me know that I was not welcome because me and my daughter did not have a Hispanic background. Very poor service sloppy food cold coffee overcharged. If you want to go to IHOP I highly recommend going to the one in Columbia on centre Park drive fast and extremely friendly even when busy. So the food was good but the service was not. No syrup or sugar at the table. Server messed up a simple order, drinks came out just before the meal. It was not terribly busy so we could not understand why there was such poor service. When we asked for sugar they brought us a container that had almost a cup of loose sugar in it which was baffling. We had been to this IHOP before and it was not this bad. As I said the saving grace was the food was decent.Dietary restrictions: Pretty good on gluten free.
The server was doing the best she could, but apparently, there was an issue in the kitchen. The food was mildly warm, but my delayed pancakes were hot off the griddle. THE WAITRESS WAS AWESOME! VERY FRIENDLY AND KIND. BUT THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. THE GRITS WERE NOT GOOD. I ASKED FOR SCRAMBLED EGGS NO CHEESE, STILL GOT CHEESE TWICE. TURKEY BACON ? We went to this ihop at Washington boulevard because, we have always had a great experience there. But, this time was not the same experience. Our waitress should have been retrained on how to bring food out all at the same time. To listen to their customer and to resolve their issues at a satisfactory pace. I would still go to this ihop but, I will not sit in her area.
The taste of what we were able to eat was great. The eggs had to be reheated as they were cold. We only got 3 pieces of French toast. The sausage was completely dry and way overcooked and we asked for extra crispy hashbrowns but we got dry and way over crispy hashbrowns that were so hard you had trouble chewing them.
This was likely the worst omelet I've ever had at IHOP. The potatoes inside were old, hard, and unpleasant. The older waiter had a rude attitude towards the other staff members. To make matters worse, they were out of stock on several items. I hope they can improve.
A big shoutout to our server, Lorenzo! Thank you for the excellent service and delicious food. This restaurant is very kid-friendly, offering items like chicken and waffles, chocolate milk, apple and orange juice, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and more.
