No one wants to eat alone and that is what they expected us to do when they brought out each plate 5-10 minutes apart, I was a waitress for a good year and a half and would have never treated people the way the so called manager did. She calls her self the “boss” but when have you heard a boss wearing pj’s to work. IHOP is my favorite breakfast place and today was a big disappointment. We only came here to purchase a couple of drinks. Hot chocolate Tea. We were helped with a kind waitress who directed my husband to a table while I went to the restroom, as we'd been traveling to come visit some friends. But, as my husband was going to the table, two different waitresses tried to stop him, saying he couldn't sit down if he was ordering food that he'd have to wait up front. This IHop in Artesia, NM, is one of the worst places to work if you're not a family member or a friend of GM Daniela. She definitely plays favorites. In just one week, four employees walked out. Daniela also shares everyone’s personal business, and employees’ salaries are openly discussed among the staff. They frequently run out of food, including cheese and bread, and many items have mold; she has even instructed the cooks to just cut out the moldy parts and serve the food anyway.
It was dead, the fish was gross, slow service, advertised GF waffles and pancakes yet was told they don’t sell it. No catchup at all. The service was quite disappointing. I dined in for breakfast, and I would say the price was around $30-$50 per person. Unfortunately, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5, the service the same, and the atmosphere also a 1. The only dish I could recommend is the Breakfast Sampler Platter.
The ARTESIA I-Hop was the cleanest and friendliest location I've visited. The food could have been served a bit warmer. For my meal, I dined in for breakfast, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.
