Placed an order for urgent delivery. Package is split into 2 delivery days, not ideal but okay. Second delivery date comes and the order doesn’t arrive. The Ikea website just says it’s “getting ready”. Ring next day and get loads of apologies and reorganisation for delivery. Delivery day comes and goes and again no delivery. Apparently there was a problem with the vehicle, hmmmm, but that doesn’t explain why I didn’t receive the day before notification that usually comes. Six years ago, I invested a significant amount of money in purchasing a complete Pax wardrobe system with a corner unit from this restaurant. Unfortunately, one of the doors with hinges broke, causing a hinge to come off. Although the furniture was still under warranty for 10 years, I had to deal with the inconvenience of replacing the entire door myself. Ordered a wardrobe online paid £40 for delivery which is steep but read in terms and conditions that it would be delivered to a room of our choice , on that basis we paid for delivery rather than going to store to pick it up ourselves. I placed a online order on the 19th September, paid the £40 delivery charge and it said it would be delivered the next day! Great I thought.... The next day came, no delivery. I called and they apologized and said they would reschedule the delivery for Thursday 23rd. Again waited no delivery, called promised it Saturday and again no delivery. We purchased a TV unit and coffee table from IKEA in Birstall, Leeds for £400. The TV unit was faulty and we were unable to return it as we no longer had the box, which was very disappointing. However, the truly shocking part was when we tried to return the unopened coffee table, which came in two boxes. The store claimed that both boxes had been opened and refused to refund us, despite the items being in brand new condition. The returns manager made every excuse possible to avoid giving us a refund, even though the sellotape on the boxes was not from IKEA. For a visit to an IKEA cafe I do not expect haute cuisine. For this visit however the food standards were poor with very few redeeming features. As there were only a limited number of customers there were plenty of spare tables to enable social distancing. The salmon was luke warm, dry, overcooked and exceptionally salty. The accompanying brocolli was overcooked, limp and seemingly unheated. The potatoes were awful. Have IKEA not come across heated serving trays and spacing out the delivery of food from the oven to the counter? A very disappointing experience.
Super stressed with exams trying to furnish my flat as I’m getting married soon, Francesca was not only friendly but also went out of her way to patiently explain different options and availability. I had to make a few, quick phone calls in between to clarify details and she was patient and sweet throughout. What a God send on a super stressful day. I honestly feel more released now. Had a meal there while shopping placed order which was delivered to table. Probably the worst piece of 'fish ' I 've ever eaten. Over cooked, and then seems to have stood in the heating since the day before. Dried out leather. I suppose it is reconstituted as they all looked the same. The 'coating ' was like brittle leather, the fish like it had been hund out in the wind for a couple of days. Yechj just plain yech.

The customer service at this restaurant is awful. I bought a flat pack desk that was almost 30kg. When I went to pick it up, I was informed that Ikea did not have any trolleys available and I was expected to carry the item through the store and up the stairs to the car park. However, the employees had trolleys to bring the items to the collection point.
