I would say this place doesn't belong in the Heights. It's far below even a Jimmy John's at its best. The restaurant as a whole is a chaotic mix of tacky colors, and it was dirty and dusty from top to bottom. The staff seemed more focused on their cell phones than on serving customers, even while I was trying to place my order. The first major disappointment came when I inquired about using my Ike's loyalty points as a first-time customer, only to be told that the system was down and it wasn't possible. The employee was too preoccupied with his phone to assist properly.

Surprisingly tasty sandwiches. A friend of mine showed up with some leftovers from a party. We pop them in the oven for a few minutes, they came out tasting pretty fresh! The turkey and cheese which was simply meat cheese and bread (and maybe some sort of sauce? , was also just simply delicious. I would have liked a little bit more meat in my sandwich but the tasty bread made up for it. I also got to try the vegetarian meatball? No idea what it's really called but that's

Unfortunately feel like I need to update my stellar review to one that is just meh . Had the Lizzie McGuire sandwich on the Dutch bread and it was all over the place. The chicken itself was good, the sandwich was dripping with sauce (usually a good thing, except when it causes catastrophic sandwich structural damage like this case) and the bread was either stale or overcooked...basically hard, not soft like it should be. For the high price tag, I expect better.

Extremely overpriced. Not great service. Takes a long time. Not sure how anyone can argue $16-$17 for a sandwich (especially this sandwich) makes sense. The bread is the best part of the whole experience which is tasty. I understand their appeal with variety and many meatless options. If those arent high priorities for you theres simply no reason to come. Theres a jimmy johns, jersey mikes and even subway within 2 miles id prefer. Reserva una mesa ahora

Had a really great sandwich from here. The veggie and vegan options really appealed to me, and make for a super inclusive menu (not often seen in chain sandwich stores). The vibe is pretty poor, and could benefit from a paint job and better furniture layout. Other than that it's a solid spot.Vegetarian options: Surprisingly vastDietary restrictions: Ability to get gluten free bread. Many veggie options

They were busy (lunch hour) and the food came out fast. What I really enjoyed was that I saw the team really helping to teach the new guy! As a teacher by trade it makes my heart happy to see a team functioning well and working to get food out fast! I had the Mark Appel and it is a saucy masterpiece with fried chicken, sauce, veggies and the most wonderful dutch bread. I'll be back.

Ike’s is one of my favorite sandwich places. Although I was staying down near Hermann Park while on vacation, I knew I had to go out of my way to Ike’s solely for the sandwich. It was so great I actually went twice and the second time got a sandwich for the day I was leaving Houston! What a fun and great sandwich spot!

Best sandwich shop, especially for vegetarians. They have an incredible variety and they?re also delicious. The Robert Woodrow Wilson is a Houston Heights exclusive. It has vegan brisket, bbq glaze and pepper jack. That?s always my go-to and I get it every visit.
