"We saved this restaurant for our last night in Paris to have the pan-fried foie gras. We were so disappointed to learn that because of the bird flu, they did not have fresh foie gras! Nevertheless, we had a nice meal with duck confit and a nice red wine. The server was single-handedly taking care of all the guests that evening, and she was amazing."

Amazing dining experience in Paris. We are visiting France/Paris very often and pretty familiar with good places to dine there . Last summer at our last day in Paris we discovered this restaurant and had an amazing dinner there . So, this year it was definitely on our list . When we walked in to the restaurant the owner Manuela recognised us instantly and even remembered what wine we ordered almost a year ago. The whole experience was great Service is super , atmosphere is cosy and decor is nice . The food there is very delicious. The best foie gras- you could try in Paris. And all different kind of preparation. The duck confit is super The service is very friendly and with Manuela recommend...

First of all, the welcome and service were excellent (black guy). We had the foie gras 4 ways to share what an experience and very well explained by the waiter; the freshly cooked foie gras was perfection. I then had the cassoulet, served in a small cast metal pot initially, I thought that the pot was quite small for the price, but I struggled to finish it. Juicy confit, sausage, and piping hot delicious beans nothing better for a winter's day. Too full for dessert. All of the dishes are shown on blackboards and explained. It's only a small restaurant and very busy, so make sure to book. What a great dining experience I'll be back one day!!

The ambience is beautifully French. The people who run it are so so kind and wonderful to us foreigners. But the foie gras!!! Some of the best I've ever had. We had seared foie gras and torchon both superb. Then, he brought us a tasting of raw foie gras which was heavenly never would've thought it would be. Then delicious soul warming cassoulet again one of the best I ever had. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone (especially foodies who love foie gras) and we will absolutely be back the next time we are in Paris. JUST GO!!

Charming, busy but not hectic, my husband and i enjoyed a delightful dinner at Il etait une Oie . . . We enjoyed the generous portions of torchon de foie gras and the fricasee d'escargots. These were followed by the maigret and the cassoulet, both equally delicious while the cassoulet was as moist and juicy as any I've every had. For dessert we shared the fondant de chocolat guanaja, a perfect ending to a lovely meal.
