Il Faro - Reserva de mesa

We have had dinner at il Faro a couple of times and really never had a wow experience - just ok Italian food at a decent price for Zürich.Last week, however, we really had a bad experience with the entire family. We ordered our food and again the quality was ok - nothing to write home about. @ the end our little one wanted a dessert. So we ordered a dessert with the intention for sharing. The one we selected was rather expensive and they brought 2 spoons.. what came was a tiny Nestle monster ice cream that you can buy @ the grocery for less than 2 francs... here they charged 8.50 francs - an absolute rip off and in my opinion not acceptable - how can they position themselves as a family rest...

Exceptional management becomes evident in certain situations. After I picked up pizzas for my family one day, I realized at home that one of the pizzas was wrong. After calling by phone, the restaurant manager offered immediate replacement or a free pizza for my next order I went for the latter, so, 2 weeks later, I ordered again without the offer for a free pizza. When picking up my pizzas, I got a pizza for free again without comments from my site and, when the restaurant leaves, the restaurant manager personally met me briefly to say again, sorry for the inconvenience. I didn't expect such a good answer, so I'm impressed. Besides, the pizzas are absolutely great!

This little spot is great! Right on Seestrasse in Herrliberg. A lively patio, and a cozy indoor atmosphere. We had visited this place twice in 2 weeks. For our first visit, I decided to try the lunch special, which was a three course meal. A garden salad to start, tilapia fish as the main and a panna cotta for dessert. For the second visit I had the spaghetti bolognese, which was absolutely delicious. Pizzas are fantastic, and the risotto done the proper way!

We popped in here last night after having driven past it a few times. And I'm very glad we did, as we will definitely be back. We were welcomed by lovely stuff into a cosy and inviting environment. My husband had a great pizza, which at CHF 22 is reasonable for swiss standards. I had THE most delicious Lamb Osso-Bucco with polenta, which I highly recommend! A very nice Italian restaurant just out side of Zurich , the service is fantastic fast and very polite.I highly recommend for a starter a green salt and for the man course I would recommend the "Schnitzel" it is being served twice , the portions are very generous and well presented.Enjoy!.

Having been there on average twice a year for around 5 years we found on this visit the standard of cooking was not as good as previous visits'My stepsons spaghetti was undercooked and my Chips (Frites) were pale and soggy.Not what we have come to expect from this restaurant

Nice Italian restaurant, what you see is what you get. Solid card, fair pricing, location ok. While the small garden is close to a pretty busy road, it can still be very relaxing to enjoy a nice dinner under the trees. Service was good and rather alert.

Great restaurant is located 10 meters from the top of Zurich. The restaurant is amazing, the food is very well cooked and the staff is friendly. The garlic pizza I had was excellent. It was really good. Always nice to come back here. Highly obliged. Reserva una mesa ahora

we enjoyed a good diner. the pizza was good and the involtini with gorgonzola cream was good. desserts should improve. service was average. the athmosphere and decor were good. prices somehow over what you get.

We like the food and the relaxed atmosphere. We come here quite often to eat a simple dish of pasta or have a pizza.
