I really wanted to like this local restaurant that others had recommended as authentic. However, I was quite disappointed. The special, lasagna, was not as expected as it was missing key ingredients like bechamel sauce and mozzarella. Instead, it was just lasagna sheets with ragu sauce and a few sprinklings of leaf around the edges. It was not the hearty, baked meal I was hoping for, and left me still hungry. The dessert menu did not appeal to me either, as I was looking for tiramisu or a creamy mousse like pannacotta. The only tiramisu available was in chunks with ice cream, served as a sundae. I'm not familiar with Gravesend, but my daughter was performing in her first show at the Woodville and I wanted to take her for a nice lunch afterwards to celebrate and we were not at all disappointed. The service was excellent and welcoming from the moment of requesting the booking through til the end of the meal. There were 13 of us in total (including 5 children between 18 months and 8 years), and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, the choices perfect (including for children who can order a smaller portion of anything on the menu for half price), the price was very reasonable, and the restaurant itself has a slightly quirky, very authentically...
The four of us arrived there on a Saturday night at 8pm. You'd think it would be busy eh! Nope, just another table with two people sitting down. The choice on the menu was a little limited and although what we orded was nice, it didn't make you think WOW!! I don't think it'll be around for too much longer (like a lot of places in Gravesend).
Had a wonderful meal with friends that come from Australia we all thought we was stepping in to Italy the minute we arrived! The food was delicious and service was very friendly and welcoming! I ordered extra food before we left to take home for our Sunday lunch the next day was fabulous! Would definitely recommend worth the trip!!

I recently had the best carbonara of my life at this amazing restaurant. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and beautifully plated. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes and admire the beautiful grape vines.
We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. It is a charming family-owned establishment with a wonderful ambiance. The food is exceptional, incredibly authentic, and the decor complements it perfectly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
One of my favourite restaurants! Such a beautiful delightful restaurant so warm cosy a real treat. From the happy staff to the delicious food. From start to finish is always worth the trip I travel from Surrey it’s a wonderful experience.
The Best Italian in Gravesend comes recommended. Love this place. The staff are always helpful and professional the food is real Italian, we just come back from Italy this summer and it’s like stepping right back their!
