We visited Paris in September and have been talking about our dining experience at Il Piccolino ever since. Everything about this was amazing - the quaint dining room, the eccentrically decorations, the humorously translated menu, and not least, the food. Il Piccolino was recommended by the concierge at our hotel when we asked about something "different" for dinner and she called ahead and got us a table. We were happily greeted upon arrival and given the translated menu. Everything tasted fresh and amazing. I can't wait to return to Paris and visit again!
We wandered in at 5:30, ungodly unParisienne time to eat, but after a day walking and Eiffel towering we were ready and any port in a storm. We were warmly greeted, the only other couple left as we sat. We had delicious mushroom soup (du jour) and I had lovely mushroom ravioli in a tomato cream basil sauce, and I wiped the plate with the chewy fresh baguette. Husband had penne arrabiata and was happy too with the homemade flavor of the sauce. If you are in the neighborhood, near the Eiffel Tower, go in with confidence. It's very good and not expensive.
I live near this neighborhood and every time I passed by, i saw a lot of people inside of this restaurant. I tried with my friends for a lunch. It was amazing. We tried a salade with buffalo mozzarella... mmm it was melting in my mouth... ! I think it's hard to find an authentic italian but this one is awesome! The food comes from directly Italy every 2 days. The quality of plates are GREAT ! The server was very nice to us. HIghly recommended!
We prefer the small restaurants, and this one was perfect! It's family run and filled with families dining. Only a small table, so one family can take care of everything from greeting to cooking to serving. Granted, you have to wait a bit for service, but if you love the homey personal service.... you will enjoy it. We enjoyed two courses with wine (100 euro). Other reviewers complain about the service, we found it quirky which is it's charm.

Wonderful dining experience in this delightful authentic Italian restaurant. My boyfriend and I got the last table on a Saturday night and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience from start to finish. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and the food was truly wonderful.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area for a delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere.
The owners of the restaurant were warm, friendly and attentive. The waiter also offered a wide range of tea for us to pick from. Food was decent. Risotto would taste better with having some sauce rather than being totally dry. Otherwise, all else was lovely.
We are going regularly to Il Piccolino. Food is really good, the owner Franco is an old typical italian from Milano. Good wine list. A few table outside. Good price/value proposition.
The meal itself was nice, but the portion is really small. if you are hungry this is not the right place to go. But all in all it was delicious.

Excellent little place, homemade Italian food. A bit pricy but you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the service is really nice.
The perfect little Italian. Hard to beat this little treasure. Everything is above perfection. Lombardia e perfetta.
