I paid this place a visit right after my weekend in Boston where I had eaten at the famous North End district famous for its Italian enclave. Compared to what I had in Boston, this was much better. Il Pranzetto is the simple and no frills kind of Italian place that does not over charge you and in the mean time does not compromise on quality of food and service. An entree will not be anything more than CAD$13. After chatting, I found out that their food hails from Naples and that explained why everyone was ordering their pizzas. (In case you didn't know, Naples is supposedly the birthplace of pizza). This place opens at 8 and closes at 330pm. To get here, you can drop off at Place des Armes me...

We felt like an Italian meal and checked out Trip Advisor reviews. This trattoria was highly recommended for good reason. It is not well signed but is worth the effort, at the corner of Saint Urban and Blvd. Rene Levesque inside a building marked with a financial group. Its a Mom and Pop restaurant with delicious food open from 11:00 till 3:00 p.m. The chef is from Melano and the food is indicative of that area. We both started with the soup of the day which was a leek soup with home made bread. For our main course I had Rigatoni Bianca. The sauce was perfect with spicy sausage. My dinner companion had Linguini Vongole which he thoroughly enjoyed. Portions were generous. Unfortunately, we we...

I discovered Il Pranzetto about two years ago and have been returning several times a week ever since. This family-run restaurant has a limited menu and is only open for lunch from Monday to Friday. Managed by a young couple under the watchful eye of the owner’s Italian parents, Il Pranzetto offers a unique fixed-price menu with a starter and main course for less than $14—a rare find in downtown Montreal. Nestled in a small Chinese shopping center on the edge of Montreal’s Chinatown, don’t be fooled by the Asian surroundings. If you have the time, you can make some culinary discoveries, including visiting one of the best Dim Sum restaurants on the second floor. The owner’s father supplies th...

This restaurant is currently closed, but they offer a mobile pizza service upon demand. We have utilized their services twice in the past month to cater to our guests. They provide 24 different pizzas with two chefs for a two-hour period at a location of your choosing, as long as it is within a reasonable distance from their base. They have a wide selection of over 35 ingredients for their pizzas, including options for meat lovers, vegetarians, and more, catering to all tastes. We recently booked them from 5:30 to 7:30 on a Saturday night for the second time and it was a fantastic experience, with all of our guests enjoying the delicious pizzas. The pizza crust is thin and the ingredients ar... Reserva una mesa ahora

After enjoying a weekend in Boston's famous North End district filled with Italian restaurants, I decided to visit Il Pranzetto in Montreal. The restaurant is a simple and affordable Italian spot that doesn't compromise on quality. With entrees priced at no more than CAD$13, it's a great value. The food at Il Pranzetto hails from Naples, explaining why their pizzas are a popular choice. Located in the heart of Chinatown, you can reach the restaurant by taking the metro to Place des Armes station. After your meal, take a stroll to the nearby Notre Dame Basilica for some sightseeing. Overall, Il Pranzetto is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed!

A little hidden gem in the Chinatown area, Il Pranzetto is an authentic Italian trattoria. Their thin-crust pizza tastes just like it does in Italy. The menu offers a wide variety of pasta, veal, and fish dishes—all delicious. Open only for lunch, it provides excellent value for the quality. Once you try Il Pranzetto, you’ll become a regular.
