IL Venetian is owned by the same people that own the Marble Room downtown, however this sister restaurant is a fancy Italian food restaurant and not just a steakhouse. I took my wife here for her birthday this year and the food did not disappoint. We both felt like we were eating at some fancy Italian restaurant in Chicago or New York City, but nope we were in downtown Cleveland. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and will take the time to walk through everything on it. Had never been there before. Made reservations for my wifes birthday. When we arrived the hostesses wished my wife a happy birthday. Ambiance was great, servers and food were very good. When we left the restaurant we walked past a window looking into the kitchen and saw several Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday dishes prepped for guests. Unfortunately my wife noticed them and said bummer and was sad because the message never made it beyond the hostesses. We may return again.
Went for a business lunch, which seems to be the norm place was packed at noon and then cleared out at 1:15!! The food was delightful, the ambiance is lovely, the service was not up to that standard you would expect at such a venue, but was passable.
The food was excellent and the prices fair. Our server was polite, not overly friendly and served us efficiently. I especially enjoyed the blueberry risotto and the pistachio crusted tuna. I look forward to returning to try other dishes.

Service and food were amazing. The meatball and polenta appetizer is so good. I had fettuccine with wild mushrooms, and my husband had the veal chop parmigiana. We will definitely go again.
The service from the time I walked in the door until I left was perfect. Very professional, attentive, unobtrusive staff. Food was excellent. Can't wait to go back!
Outstanding food, service, from hostess to waiter to manager. Will go back. You can definitely share entree and salad and still take a to go box!
Service was top-notch and food was amazing. Reasonably priced compared to other fine dinning in the area too. Try the Gnocchi. We’ll be back!
