Illbay - Reserva de mesa

Great restaurant. Great food. Great atmosphere. We visited here for a quick lunch and were not disappointed. As vegetarians we were both very pleased that they had a great selection even on their lunch special menu which was tremendous value and the portions were very generous. We had a humous and halloumi starter with some amazing Turkish bread (worth coming here for the bread alone), followed by vegetarian mousakka and baklava for desert. All of it left us wanting more if only we were not so full. Pleasantly full of course. Would definitely recommend.

This was absoulately stunning experience for me and my friends having our dinner at Ilbays Turkish Restaurant. Service we had, food quality and ambiance were amazing. There are only few Turkish restaurant in Newcastle but Ilbays is much far away from others on food quality and service. I highly recommend this place if you d like to taste the real Turkish food and great service. You can even have your business lunch and dinner there. It`s in very nice location as well, easy to find. Also the owner is lovely person too. He is so kind and very welcoming.

My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The waiter was lovely and our starters arrived promptly. I highly recommend trying the lamb hummus starter, it was absolutely delicious and very tender. We decided to share the Mixed Grill, which was huge and cooked to perfection. I have been eating here for years and always enjoy the food. I can't wait to come back with my friend again. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon and delicious meal as always!

Visited this restaurant last night with a friend. We received a lovely warm welcome from staff. We had the 2 course special which was fantastic value for money. I had the Hollumi and Adana. The flavours were amazing and food well presented. We both had a great night and can’t wait for our next visit. Definitely recommend Reserva una mesa ahora

I’ve visited iibays on regular bases the food and service is amazing definitely recommend lunch and dinner menu’s there. Great atmosphere and service one of the best Turkish restaurants in the north east .

avoid this place if you like nice food, good wine and a quiet ambience. typical of gateshead though, do yourself a favour and go to newcastle, loads of good restaurants there..
