I was first in this place 22 yrs ago serving in the Army, went back to visit friends and went for a drink there. The place has hardly changed in all that time, the food is proper german hearty fare and the beer is great. The owners have really put a lot into making guests feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
We visited family in Werl in August and they treated us to a schnitzel tasting at Im Winkel. What a fabulous introduction into german cuisine! Every sauce and potato we tried we loved. And the beer wasn't too bad either. Great friendly service and cozy atmosphere.
So ein tolles Restaurant. Gemütliches Ambiente, tolle Einrichtung. Sehr nettes Personal. So ein zartes Schnitzel habe ich lange nicht gegessen. Einziges Manko, ich hätte schon gern selber entschieden wie viel Soße auf mein Schnitzel soll.

In the evening of the arrival of pilgrims, we always go to the club to eat and drink there. Food is very good every year, service-friendly and the beer tastes. We like to come back!
Essen war gut, das einzige was mich gestört hat,war die Menge an Zwiebeln Bei dem Steak, für meinen Geschmack etwas zu viel. Abgesehen davon war alles gut.
Am liebsten sind wir im Sommer im Biergarten mit Schnitzelbuffet. Super Auswahl an Beilagen und Saucen und guter Service. Die beste Kneipe in Werl!
