Inatome Japanese Hibachi Steak House

Inatome was a cool space for a hibachi experience. The entrance steals the show more than anything else. The servers were attentive and always asked if we needed anything, but forgot a couple of things from our order and we had to ask before they were brought to our table. The decor is typical Japanese flair, with bamboo trimmings on the walls, and personal tables in the front, hibachi grill in the back. There is also a sushi table stationed to the right as you enter, which is great for raw lovers. Honestly, I've been here many times. One time for omakase, one for hibachi, and one for regular sushi rolls. I might have reviewed this place already but my first experience here was the omakase and I felt like that was my favorite. It was around $80 per person pre tax and they gave a total of 15 dishes if I remember correctly. It was my first experience at omakase so the chef was really nice and told us what to do and how to eat it. It is at a bar around the chef station so it's more intimate. On this side of Long Island this is the number one restaurant that serves authentic Japanese cuisine, their sushi chef are well known Japanese. This is where all the local Japanese come to eat, and I can see why. I really enjoy their traditional Japanese garden. The manager naturally makes you feel like you're in a family restaurant, and that's why I see groups of families hibachi the hibachi.

Sushi was ok, shumai was great. But the salad was already turning brown when I received it. And I ask for (and pay for) two sides of real wasabi. And they put a minuscule amount in the container! Like 1/4 of an ounce! The guys on the weekend cut the fish differently. And are more generoues. x

i went here for my birthday 2 years ago and on a date a year ago. the food is amazing, the cooks are very interactive and the ambiance is very comfy and family friendly. the serve alcoholic drinks as well. hibachi was amazing!

ordered the bowls..steak could have been better. rice wasn't hibachi fried as it used to be. they really cut corners.. food was cold

best sushi in long island! the sushi cuisine never disappoint us. I wish they are in north shore.
