India Oven - Reservar una mesa

We ordered take out and while picking up the food, the dull atmosphere of the restaurant coupled with a smell of old recycled oil that has percolated to every inch of this establishment set the stage for things to come. That tempered our expectations and the dry tasteless chicken makhani, undercooked rice and chewy roti summed up the abyss this restaurant has hit over the course of its long and seemingly arduous journey that hopefully can come to an end. In short, mediocre food at a premium price. Avoid, unless hunger is an impending calamity and this is the only place left to eat.

The food is delicious with the right amount of spice. Also, it is easy to request a higher spice level, if desired. I love the options offered at India Oven. However, as I get older, my sensitivity to the level of salt increases. So, sometimes the salt level may seem a little high. Easy fix though is just to have a little more water, because I am not giving India Oven up. It is DELICIOUS.

I love this place. Ive been searching for an Indian restaurant in this area and Ive tried several. Overall, this is my favorite. The flavors are great, the spice level customizable, the Chicken Tikka Masala is rich without feeling heavy, the Naan is soft and warm, the portions are generous, and Im fine with the prices given the above.

So far, this is my favorite Indian spot. Ive been trying different restaurants (Ive been obsessed with Chicken Tikka Masala lately) and out of all of the places, this is where its at. Portions are GREAT. Ordered a side of Basmati Rice, Naan, and also trying the Gulab Jamun. Happy camper.
