We (family of four) visited the Indian Cottage Restaurant to sit inside tonight, after normally ordering takeaway from local and older rival Spicy Aroma. We had high expectations... which were quickly destroyed. We had ordered at 17:35, served by local sourpuss Mo, who can only be described as the most miserable man I have ever met. We were the only people sat inside so why our food came over an hour later, I 'm not so sure. Our food arrived at 18:40, lukewarm and rushed (we assume the takeaway orders being bagged up in front of us took priority). really delicious. the biryani is soouou good. the pakoras are amazing. it is a small independent restaurant in stockwood that is worth it. I ordered one here. everything is always supplied hot, delicious and fresh. Do not believe that the negative reviews, just some moaners. when they order via Eats/Just eat - it is not the responsibility of this restaurant as if their order is delivered, they cook it, and similar to when ordering a taxi over uber, it is assigned and depending on the driver's order, the order is then sent to them. most of the time orders are freshly cooked within a reasonable time, say 20-30 minutes, and then the restaurant waits only for the driver to pick it up, it can be...

A little gem in Stockwood Bristol that serves excellent food at very reasonable prices. Plus, the staff are really welcoming and helpful. With so many people having deliveries these days we witnessed a stream of the usual delivery bags going out the door while we were there) it was easy to get a table and enjoy the 'dining out ' experience. Their weekday meal deals allow you to have a full meal for the price that some other places would charge for a main course with rice and there was no skimping on portion sizes. We have been going here for years and will return again soon.

Have ordered for delivery twice this month, the first time we all agreed that the food was lovely (especially the Naga curry) but we’re disappointed that we received 2 tandoori chicken starters and not 2 chicken tikka starters which we had ordered (ordered online so we double checked). Mistakes happen I guess, so we gave them another go a couple of weeks later, again, something in the order was wrong (cheese naan instead of a garlic naan). Such a shame as the food is lovely. Would rate this 0/10 if I could!! Food took 2 and a half hours to arrive, I called 3 times and was only told the food was on its way with no time frame or apology! The second time I called I was hung up on! When the food eventually arrived it was cold and I had to microwave it, it was also tasteless and by the time it came we were all past the point of hungry and annoyed! Not an enjoyable experience and half of it went in the bin!!

really nice place to eat. there are tables to dip and eat, or they offer takeaway. with collection or delivery. the decor is beautiful and soothing, there is a warm and relaxing atmosphere and I love the blue lighting. it is bringing them their own alcohol . the personal is very friendly and welcoming and attentive. the prices are very good and eating is delicious! my new favorite place to have a curry.

Bristol has a plethora of Indian restaurants however the Indian cottage in Stockwood is my favourite. The food is fresh and very tasty the garlic nann was outstanding and the feedback around the table was great. It is bring your own alcohol with a very reasonable £1 corkage charge. Highly recommend you try this place out and support a local Indian.

Indian holiday home in stockwood is by far the best Indian cuisine. the place is very clean, well presented and all staff are welcoming, friendly and provide for their guests. eating is superb
