Indian Empire breaks the mould. A family affair, it’s run by owner and Executive Chef Subhash Sharma and his two sons Pankit and Sachit. They quickly gained success, winning Best Indian restaurant on the Gold Coast, Queensland and Australia in 2015 at the R&CA Savour Australia Awards, followed up by further wins in 2016 (Queensland and National) and 2017 (Queensland). The recent renovation of the venue has brought a fresh approach to Indian cuisine and a new confidence. Rattan chairs and white clothed tables add sophistication, while the food and drinks menus, service and entertainment give diners a new, more modern experience of Indian culture and cuisine.
We ordered malai kofta and the Koftas were extremely salty. As they are not made fresh they could not remake the dish apparently and no refund was provided either. Apart from that however the food was great and authentic. Just would have hoped for a better resolution with the salty curry.
I've never had Indian food on my list but as a group of us entered the restaurant, we felt warmed and welcomed by their generous staff. The food was on point, especially the naan and the butter chicken. Would recommend coming back to this place.
Best indian we've been able to find anywhere, and we've travelled world wide searching for the best butter chicken. The guys are really nice, prices are great, flavours make your mouth water. Always get excited to order this:

Pretty good food and service.. certainly one of the better Indian restaurants around gold coast. So worth a drive if you are in gold coast.Portions are pretty decent and good.
Best service that I’ve had in my Life. Impeccable service, surprising from a local reasonably priced restaurant. Perfect for birthdays or family events. Very satisfied!

Excellent authentic naan bread. Flavoursome curries and quick delivery. Tandoori chicken was really nice and smokey with a good tandoor flavour.
